The truth would be a good start....

They are probably only considering realistic options.

I'm still thinking he will seek exile somewhere... I wonder if there will be any takers,

The Truth is never an option with these grifters and cultists and domestic terrorists.

Will he be allowed to go? At this point, I'm not sure. If he managed to go, would we get him back or have him killed by drone strike where he sits? Yes, we would.

Here's the thing: There is every reason to worry that these stolen documents were not merely the result of Trump being a sociopathic klepto, but a sociopathic spy. An agent of a foreign government, just like we always thought he was.

Russia is already saying they have the documents the FBI is looking for.

Moscow Already 'Studying' Top-Secret Records From Trump Raid: Russian Media

Hosts on Russia's state-owned Russia-1 television channel said that officials in Moscow have already been "studying" top secret and other classified documents the FBI sought through a search warrant of former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort home.

That long, secret meeting (where no aides were allowed) in Helsinki makes ya wonder just what the f they were talking about. And all the other reports. Like Kushner attempting to set up a secret back channel to Moscow at the Russian embassy, Flynn, on and on.

BTW, the boxes the FBI took were very large "banker's boxes" that could hold hundreds of documents each.

Just think of all the damage he could have done if he knew what a flash drive was.

The media is asking the wrong question of those defending Trump. If the claim Trump declassified the material before taking it home, press them on whether or not they feel that he acted responsibly in doing so. Ask them directly for their thoughts on a president declassifying top secret materials just so he can take it home and keep it a storage room in his pool house. If they try claiming this was an overreach by the FBI then skip past their lies and ask them the same question. I doubt any GOP official will defend Trump on that matter. They are probably going to dodge the question but get them on record doing so.

Whether they were classified or not actually doesn't matter according to the law.

Read the statutes cited as justification for the search warrant.

Not one even mentions the classification of the documents they were seeking. Because AG Garland probably knew Trumpy would use it as a political red herring. He broke the law regardless of the classification of the stolen documents. So arguing over whether Trumpy could declassify them with his magic Trumpy wand is pointless.

It's just more icing on Trumpy's criminal cake and just makes it worse and is a reminder as to how careless he was (and still is apparently)with sensitive national secrets.

Here's a good example of what I'm talking about in #10. GOP Rep Mike Turner - Ohio's 10th, dodging the question and deflecting. He acknowledges that the records would have to represent an "immediate national security threat" in order to get approval to "raid the President's home." He goes on to try to deflect and explain it away by saying stuff like well we have classified documents in congress about al-Zawahiri and now the press knows all about that. He doesn't acknowledge that those documents remain classified because they contain information that would put sources and methods at risk.
He gets stunned into silence briefly after that when he is met with the question "Do you take home documents marked special access?" He then simply replies "no". After met with a another question he says he doubts a President would have "actual documents that rise to the level of an immediate national security threat." He then says Garland had other options like he could have asked the court to enforce the subpoena. He keeps saying Garland needs to justify going into Maralago and ignores the fact that the FBI already justified it by going through the process of obtaining a subpoena that was ignored and then had to resort to a court ordered warrant.

He twists himself into a pretzel trying to avoid the questions.

Have they considered supporting law enforcement?

They sure talked a big game for decades.

No longer can it be stated or tolerated that Well, president trump did this so it must be ok'. The cloak of infallibility must be stripped from his fat, orange posterior ...
