Let's see if Kansans tolerate this in November. My expectation is that they lose their initial enthusiasm by then.

They should get every state pol on the record either supporting or opposing.

The results weren't even close.

This is a waste of time and money and a giant fkkk you from the Republican Party to the voters of Kansas.

Regardless, Kansas will remain red.

Stupid.

I hope the recounting is done by reputable and honest people and that the person that "certifies" the result is honest.

-Kansas law requires Leavitt to post a bond to cover the entire cost of the recount. Bryan Caskey, state elections director for the Kansas secretary of state's office, said it would be the first recount of the votes on a statewide ballot question in at least 30 years.

someone has to pay for it first.

MAGAturds will someday run out of cash. Then they'll be on the dole. Great.

"MAGAturds will someday run out of cash." Not when a state controls education and does not want children to know tolerance. Not when religion puts in the idea of magical thinking before the mind develops its own logic. Not when abortion is removed and more dumb babies can be made. Everything is lined up lined dominoes for more stupid.

I'm looking forward to the recount proving that just like the rest of America the Christians in Kansas are for the most part pro-choice.

If we're blessed those who haven't felt they could publicly say this in the passed now will be able to.

"someone has to pay for it first."

They found a chump from Wichita, who put the bulk of the $120,000 raised on his credit card.
Most of the cost will be charged to a credit card provided by Mark Gietzen, a long-time anti-abortion activist in Wichita who leads the hard-right Kansas Republican Assembly, the Kansas Secretary of State's Office said.

The republican platform is now:

"There's nothing wrong with fascism, Putin is our buddy, and any election we don't win is a fraud."

End of platform.

Oh, and the counties they'll recheck?

85 counties voted for them; 20 voted against. The "recount" is only happening in 9 counties ... 8 of which voted against them.

Didn't this go 59-41? I'm curious to know the biggest movement a statewide recount has ever generated.

What a ridiculous waste of time, resources and taxpayers' money

I would prefer them waste that money on a lost cause than to spend it on one of their other priorities which might have a chance of succeeding.
