The irony.

There were about 15,500 votes cast in the 2020 presidential election in Gillespie County.

The Buffoon got about 12,500 of those votes.

What?!? Has "the FBI" situation devolved into hating ALL those who represent government?

threats and stalking

This country is just plain over. An almost complete lack of mental health care has destroyed us, as at least 25% of our population are violent nuts.

Anyone sending death threats and stalking people should be 5150'd and tossed in a 72 hour hold, sedated, and be psychologically evaluated.

Period.

An election staff? Threats and stalking? In Texas? In a county Trump won?

Good Grief! These swine are eating their own.

THIS IS wHAT THEY WANT, mass resignations followed by packing the offices with the MAGA-fascists.
Our country teeters on the edge, and Trump is pushing as hard as he can.

Every last bit of this is on the liars who refuse to accept the fact that the majority of Americans voted against the orange psychopath. The entire farcical charade that is tearing the country apart was created out of thin air, piled atop other lies that have been ingrained over many years in the psyches of morally weak, fearful authoritarians who bought into it all as surely as the followers of Jim Jones, David Koresh, Charles Manson bought into their cult heroes' malarkey.

The difference is that today's cult leaders have social media, Fox News, OANN, Alex Jones, megachurches, and a deeply compromised GOP working their asses off to amplify their lies and nurture the victim mentality and paranoia of the cult's followers.

The only time the world makes sense or allows the cult members to feel good is when they are safely ensconced in the layers of lies told by their self-selected propagandists. No one else outside the circle can be trusted. All doubters are RINOs or some other type of enemy. Enemies who must be met with force.

The ones telling the lies all know what they're doing. They tell outrageous lies, but they pretend they're telling the truth. They raise suspicions and draw connections where none exist. They pretend they hold the keys to the real story, because saying so benefits them economically and politically. So we get a little sedition now and then, or an attack on an FBI office, or a mass resignation of election workers. The cost of doing business.

Trump tapped into some weird rightwing brain glitch. I'm not sure he even meant to do it. But it worked, and we're never going back to The Way Things Were.

Watch "Falling Down". Explains everything. Way too prescient.

"Not even sure he meant to do it." So true. He's just a rude weirdo born with a silver spoon in his mouth, a pathologically dishonest bully, his brain wired to mock and cheat and run scams as if by instinct. And clearly that's exactly the kind of guy most of the Republican Party was looking for.

This is one way to ensure that the election will not bee stolen! We will all just vote in the next county over...

from Joe above...

Yeah, I think it's called Racism. And the GOP has been
racist forever. He just made it acceptable for them to
show it out in the open.

And now every 'set upon white person' (i.e. those without college
degrees who amounted to next to nothing, or who are pissed because Latinos
work harder and are taking their framing job or their concrete laying job down
at the construction site) finally feel enabled to let all of their
vitriol and hatred spew out into the open.

It's the attack of the 'Ugly Americans' and their is no end in sight.
