The Mothers Against Greg Abbott PAC premiered a new back to school-themed campaign ad on Monday, just as children across the Lone Star State started returning to the classroom.

The guns have more rights than people. It's not that nothing can be done, only that nothing can be done for people.

Gun rights keep expanding every year In every state, even states that Want gun restrictions are stopped from implementing them by the SCOTUS.

This country values guns and mayhem over people's right to peaceful lives.

War abroad and at home is our highest priority and seemingly the greatest good.

Our "culture" is sick into death.

Somehow we lead the world as the most "freedom loving" and "rules based" nation.

Quick to judge others and slow to see our own evils.

The "exceptional nation" BS is like the "master race" nonsense in Germany.

It will lead to the same consequences.

The same people who felt mask wearing by children in schools was detrimental to their mental health and social development are now okay with them wearing body armor? This does not compute.

Not a problem here in Okiehomie:
-folks hereabout are convinced all the guns make this place polite
-the last thing most politicians here want to do is support schools and education

How good is that body armor when confronted with an AR-15 a dozen feet away?

Effective ad demonstrates how the gun culture is responsible for so many school mass murders. I honestly hate the NR and by association the Republican Party.

Just another day here in Abbottistan.

He failed us by overtaxing us and hoarding over 10 billion in surplus.
he failed us by not only inaction during Covid, but threatening fines for even mask mandates.
He failed us by pretending the electricity grid was ready for a major winter storm (it was NOT); over 200 died in mid-February 2021.
He failed us by pushing a major anti-abortion bill that allows anyone to sue for even suspected abortions, then promising to "catch all the rapists." TRUE: Texas is #12 state in both number of rapes and rapes per capita.
He failed us by pushing for no limits on any weapon whatsoever to be carried, and even eliminated any mandated training for open carry. El Paso, anyone? Uvalde?
He failed us by punishing teachers who teach the non-existent Classroom teaching of CRT and then encouraging anti-public school policies throughout his tenure.
he promised to cut property taxes (12th highest in USA), NADA, NOTHING done. The extra deduction he proposes still causes all property owners to pay the maximum 10% increase every year.

Why should anyone vote for him again? He is an uncaring a___ole!! He got his millions after his injury, now determined to make as many of the rest of us as miserable as possible.

"Why should anyone vote for him again? He is an uncaring a___ole!!"

Haven't you figured it out by now? Being an uncaring a___ole is his appeal. That's who we are. We don't do compassion for people who need help, especially when they're living different experiences than the majority of us. At least people like Abbott and his supporters are more honest about it.

This is what the first day of school should look like in this country but without the fear or the need for body armor:

My husband snapped this today. Today is our daughter's first day of second grade. We live in Texas. While I'm excited for her, I am fearful. I hope all little ones have a safe school year.

Kids these days have to wear armor. Dems are so busy trying to make sure police don't exist and that criminals never get punished and Reps are so busy trying to ignore the ridiculous amount of gun violence that kids just don't have many options these days.

Did you wipe the spittle off your chin after you posted that nonsense?
