Jill Lawrence: Do reality-based Republicans deserve to win? Maybe. But could America survive a GOP House unscathed? Also maybe, and that's not good enough.

Oh yeah, just vote for the dems whose DOJ picks and choses which laws they want to enforce, not enforce our southern boarder, push for DAs who let violent criminals free, weaponize the FBI, IRS, etc. Fentanyl deaths over 100k a year, Weakening our military, hiring incompetent cabinet member due to checking boxes rather than qualifications, etc.

Govt agencies we can no longer trust, Homeland Security, IRS, FBI, CIA, NIH, CDC....

Trusts the known liar Trump, instead.

The delusional rwingers are real, folks.

Trump is telling the truth, you see, but all his appointed aides and lawyers lied under oath about his crimes... because... because... why did they do that, again?

'Govt agencies we can no longer trust, Homeland Security, IRS, FBI, CIA, NIH, CDC...."

Ms. GT takes her cue from Trump, every... single... time.

It's like the collective IQ of the Republican party has been on a slow drip downward since the year I was in 5th grade (2000). Was it always this way? My 73-year-old Mom says "no" but then again she is and always will be an idealist Catholic Worker at heart.

The current 2 party gridlocked system is not sustainable. Note to the enterprising superior Gen Z revolutionaries for the next republic: Go for a parliamentary style of government; term limits; line item veto; sanguine citizenship; an actual secured border; a rotating 2 year term Supreme Court that is required to review every case before it with District, Circuit and Regional Court judicial reviews with civilian oversight; mandatory 2 year service commitment either in the military or peace corps.

I'm 72. I've NEVER voted for a RepubliCON.

", and only one, of our major parties has been going crazy for twenty years and is now having a full-fledged gibbering, I'm-The-Emperor-of-Antarctica breakdown. It is hard not to feel just a touch of schadenfreude about this. The Republicans have served up eight years of hatred and nihilism"and now they are surprised to find they have inherited hatred and nihilism as they actually appear in the real world, not neatly blown-dry and smirking but red and orange and heaving, cursing and swearing and contemptuous."

I do not see anything the repubs have done to deserve to vote for.

Nothing but a bunch of brown shirt thugs.

Anyone running as a Republican has to answer the question what did you do to fight Trump?

If they didn't invite him starting when he ran for president the first time and been fighting him ever since to the point of endorsing his opposition they can't be voted for.

MSGT: What choice do we have? Vote for Democrats or vote for traitors. Or throw your vote away on a 3rd party candidate which only helps the traitors.

If there was such a thing as an afterlife, Lincoln is weeping over What the Republican Party has become.

If You Care About Your Country and Your Rights, Don't Vote for Any Republicans in 2022

If ever there was a party that needed a strong and clear message that it is headed for the trash bin of history, a thorough and consequential drubbing up and down the ballot would send that message.

The question is: "is America ready to send that message"?

"The question is: "is America ready to send that message"?

Is Congress ready to send that message?

After 4 years of shell shock by the Trump mis-administration, not to mention the constant barrage of incoming since then, I don't expect a quick recovery of those who are still hunkered in their bunkers.

President Biden and the DOJ are doing their best to dispel the fear of Trump returning but I think it's going to take more than one election cycle for Congress to feel safe again ~ if ever.

problem with this is,
the modern GOP voter long
ago stopped caring as much for
their country as they did for
their political party...

Snuffy, I'm 65 and I used to at least listen to what they had to say. Now I assume anyone running as a Republican is an idiot and/or a traitor.

Fentanyl deaths over 100k a year

Mostly MAGATS, of course.

I can see why you are upset, but can't help but wonder why you didn't raise your kids better.
