Jennifer Rubin: "Identifying the MAGA movement as "fascist" or "semi-fascist," on the other hand, is not to accuse it of planning genocide, but rather to point to its playbook as reminiscent of those that authoritarian movements and leaders have deployed across the globe."

Timothy Snyder has written:

Post-truth is pre-fascism, and Trump has been our post-truth president. When we give up on truth, we concede power to those with the wealth and charisma to create spectacle in its place. Without agreement about some basic facts, citizens cannot form the civil society that would allow them to defend themselves. If we lose the institutions that produce facts that are pertinent to us, then we tend to wallow in attractive abstractions and fictions. Truth defends itself particularly poorly when there is not very much of it around, and the era of Trump " like the era of Vladimir Putin in Russia " is one of the decline of local news. Social media is no substitute: It supercharges the mental habits by which we seek emotional stimulation and comfort, which means losing the distinction between what feels true and what actually is true.

Trumpites were giving Trump the latest iteration of the fascist salute in Ohio. These were Q people. If the criterion for labeling someone a Nazi is planning genocide, then we are there.

we ARE walking a very dangerous line in this country...
right now I'm most concerned about 2 things.

1). That Trump gets indicted (and found guilty).
2). protection of fair elections.

If either of these two fail, we will be on a hair's edge.
If both fail, time to fight or time to pack for another country...

#3 So this is quite typical. You are calling Trump and his supporters fascists while at the same time asking that he be removed from society because you don't agree with his policies.

I'm concerned that the rule of law is upheld. If it is, then Dotard will face justice. It seems he's losing the less insane MAGAts, if such a thing exists. He just did Klan Rally for Vance in a half-empty 7000-seat venue; Loverboy currently draws bigger crowds on the state fair circuit. I'm concerned about the mainstreaming of MAGA in the GQP. It looks like DuhSatin is their next savior, a short little sausage with poorly cut suits and a perpetual just sharted look on his face, with the complexion and charisma of week-old Spam. He has a penchant for cruelty and punching down, which gets the MAGAts hard. Fortunately, he does not appear capable of being the smooth con-man cult leader Dotard is, but he is slightly brighter.

Picking and choosing when to be outraged by or applauding comparisons to Nazi's or tactics used against the Jewish people is remarkably hypocritical. The specifics of Gina Carano actually said vs what people think she said and reacted to are very different, yet she is no longer on the Mandalorian.

Activities can't be good or bad depending on if we agree or disagree with who it's used against.

"Gina Carano"

If she hadn't gone on to star in a movie that ----- all over Joe and Hunter Biden, you might have a point, KWRX25.

She knows exactly what she's doing, and that is siding with the fascists. www.imdb.com

The reason to remove Trump is we don't agree with his policy of fascism.
You're calling that fascism, right?

Court documents say at 2:35 Sunday morning, 41-year-old Shannon Brandt called 911 to report that he had hit a pedestrian because he was threatening him. Brandt told State Radio that the pedestrian was part of a Republican extremist group and that he was afraid they were "coming to get him." The pedestrian has been identified in a GoFundMe page as 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson

I'll try to be a clear as I can about this:

If you don't have a problem when Nazis just happen to support your party, or your party's leader, or show up at your party's rallies, then you're part of the problem.

Congratulations, Republicans.

I know you're smarter than this snoofy...

My point is we are choosing if someone is a criminal based on who the victim is.

Gina used nazi/Jewish reference against the left so she's a criminal.

Now in this case it's not only okay to call the far right nazis, it's imperative to do it.

If it's based to use nazi/Jewish analogies it should be across the board.

Just as long as it's not used to point out any duck like properties of the left. If that happens, it's an abhorrent comparison, and the speaker will be cancelled.

I agree, we should call em like we see em... both ways.
