insane. judge should not help them. if they haven't presented it then you don't offer it to them. You can't just watch TV and decide to offer it to them Trump is not the one talking in the court is lawyers are yes they're talking for him but it doesn't matter what he says on TV, is there a gag order? Imagine being able to manipulate a judge like that

Courts are not game shows. And it's not a court of public opinion. It's a court of law.

You can't just make up lies on the fly there and expect the judges to buy it sight unseen like on FoxProp. Especially with something this serious. The FBI knows better then him how to protect the chain of custody. You need actual evidence and documents to support what you say.

And, of course, the only evidence Trumpy actually has is Trumpy's mouth.

You misapprehend. He's not helping. He's boxing in, closing doors. Excellence.

It's the dilemma Roodles, Sydney Powell, et. al. faced: support Trump's absurd lies in court by uttering more absurd lies and possibly get your ticket yanked, or shift about, shuffle your feet, hem and haw, looking incredibly buffoonish. Dearie really nailed them down.

All the adult Trumps* and their lawyers should be in jail.

*not Mary

You are a Trump lawyer and have just met with him, where he ranted for an hour and demanded that you go back to that court and tell them that the FBI planted all kinds of evidence.
You walk out of the room, remember how hard you worked to get through law school, how much you need money to raise your family, and how stern this judge looks.
You then craft your reply to the judge using all of your skills as a lawyer, because you both have to stay out of jail and not be fired by Trump.

Ah, well, there is the Rudy series of moves, that involve lies, deception and attacking the courts in the public arena. What is the worst thing they can do to you...Rudy is still walking around, though not able to practice law in a few places.
There are a million former Trump lawyers out here selling books, having taken his money, if paid, and now working to redeem their social standing by mocking him.

Brilliant move by Judge Dearie. I don't envy Trump's legal team the job of defending a half-crazed client who has no defense other than wild accusations that he's using in public to keep his base riled up.

Dearie's order, put up or shut up, (disguised as fairness to Trump) just slammed the door shut in Trump's face.

By now Trump will be demanding that his legal team find some other hill to die on. He expects them to fall on the sword for his sake. If they're smart, they'll refuse and force Trump to fire them.

Special Master: Provide proof that the documents were declassified.

Trump: *crickets chirping*

SM: Provide proof the FBI planted documents.

Trump: *crickets chirping*

Just more of the same old from dotard. He tries the case in the court of public opinion because he knows he doesn't need facts or evidence for the poorly educated MAGAts to believe him. He knows he can play fast and loose with his ever changing story and the red hat wearing morons will flock to his rallies and send him their money. That is what he is after.

His empty lies have gotten people killed and will continue to do so.

He has no regards for the well being of his MAGAts. They are just pawns for him to use to grift and riot on his behalf.

What a sad little man he is.

The best was when he made the claim that the FBI planted the documents in his interview and his response was "they certainly could have". Not even a statement. Just reckless speculation. The follow up..."well that should be on video surveillance"....and his answer (knowing he was caught in a lie since every inch of that place is on CCTV) was "no...i don't think so".

Reckless and dangerous

"I don't envy Trump's legal team the job of defending a half-crazed client"

THey got their $3,000,000 retainer. As soon as that is exhausted, they will demand another retainer and if he doesn't pay up, they will stop work if they are smart.

So...have the death threats against Judge Dearie started yet? That's how it works in TrumpWorld. Der Dotard says something extremely stupid and his toadies and minions jump into action. In this case, were the Corpulent Orange Fascist to say one word about the special master, I suspect Dearie would have this crime lord locked up...

We can assume they have.

What juvenile nickname will Trump come up with for Dearie? My money's on "Weary Dearie."

IF he was smart (he's not) he wouldn't come up with one. So that said, I don't have a good one so you might be spot on with "Weary Dearie".

and not be fired by Trump

That's the f..king key! With Trump, you have to get a LARGE, non refundable retainer; just like the $3M retainer just paid out to a recent top attorney hired by Trump. As that retainer beings to wind down, demand that it be replenished (monthly?) or Trump will be dropped as a client. With such a large retainer and replenishment as it dwindles, there is no fear of being fired so Trump's threat of firing will have little or no impact on a lawyer's willingness to stay.

As a attorney, once Trump has you in his pocket, you will try to please him (by lying) or quit and not get paid.

I'd never take a Trump as a client. You just know all of them are major PITAs. Plus they wont tell the truth to anyone, or pay them.
