But many Dems, even ones in MV, are on record saying they want them. So why ship them off to those who haven't asked until you've filled the places who HAVE asked? Why would anyone want the government to force people to go anywhere when there are people who have their arms open? Isn't one of the big problems in the Liberal media with DeSantis's bus is that he is the government forcing people? So you are asking to have the same thing done?

ILLEGAL ALIENS, not migrants and ship them back to country of origin - ASAP!

#5 | Posted by MSgt at 2022-09-26 12:32 PM | Reply

Ideally, you ship them back to where they came from.

Otherwise, keep bussing their asses to self-proclaimed "Sanctuary Cities".

Shooting your mouth off in the name of virtue signaling has consequences.

AMEN! Most of the Trumpers I know of are all on disability insurance. That would be a HUGE boost to social security.

Hope they enjoy dealing with all the resultant lawsuits.

These are not "illegal immigrants", they are asylum seekers. They have the right to present themselves to the border authorities and have their claim heard. They have done so, and they were given dates to appear in court. They are allowed to remain in the US pending adjudication of their claim.

On Smerconish the other day, there was a woman complaining about migrants being sent to Martha's Vineyard. And he had a point. The summer season is over. Probably not much going on there.

But further west in Minnesota, farmers were having trouble finding people to harvest crops. She suggested they be sent there, where they actually could be put to work.

And I closer to France. And you do have more than enough idiots in whatever -------- you come from. You count as several, actually.

They're eligible to work in the United States?

Future president desantis doesn't care about where migrants are needed. He cares about using government resources to get headlines and troll libs. Even if he has to ship desperate people to a location with no jobs, while other jobs elsewhere are going unfilled. And your party loves him for it.

"They're eligible to work in the United States?"

I think so. They were all asylum-seekers.

Asylum seekers are, by definition, in the country temporarily and legally. If they are not granted asylum, they are sent out of the US. If they are granted asylum, they are permitted to stay legally in the US until such time that it is determined they can return to their country of origin.

It may be different in the US, but refugees in Europe are permitted to legally work.

#24 | Posted by snoofy at 2022-09-28 02:02 PM | Reply

Should they have a choice in the matter, or should they simply be told that farm labor is a condition of their asylum?

At whom was this complaint directed?
DeSantis, who sent them to Martha's Vineyard?
Minnesota farmers, for not asking DeSantis or perhaps their own governor for help?

This is what's wrong with conservatives. They see something that makes them mad, and they decide it must have an easy fix and they're being ignored when their stupid ideas get ignored.

Then you get talk radio and the rest of mass media to tell people their stupid ideas are good.

Whatever this woman is complaining about, she provides zero new ideas. She has no new path forward.
She just blames other people for what's wrong. And for her, that's all she needs for her side to be right.

Just the other side of the coin of kids who are enamored with Communism because of the glaring abuses of Capitalism.

Except she's presumably a grown adult and she ought to know better.

A million ways.

The biggest one is we didn't try to overthrow democracy.

We also arent so stupid that Qanon idiocy thrives on our side.

We also didn't become the cult of a fascist con man.

They're not the ones picking where these migrants get shipped. Your party is the one shipping them to the dumbest places.

A choice?

No. Not really. Not unless that choice is going to provide a better output for the taxpayers than the one the government would have chosen.

But they do ultimately have a choice to go back to where they came from.

She wasn't complaining. She was criticizing DeSantis's policies on sending asylum seekers to some place where they would have nothing to do in an attempt to send a political message.

Had Desantis sent them up there in April, it may have been a different story.

"The biggest one is we didn't try to overthrow democracy."

There is no democracy to overthrow.

And you advocate insensately for overthrowing this constitutional republic.

"We also arent so stupid that Qanon idiocy thrives on our side."

If you've bought into the idea that the poor are that way because of rich people, you share a similar intellectual capacity to those who think the Qanonsense is real.

We also didn't become the cult of a fascist con man.

How do you characterize Comrade Bernie? Historically, a capitalist who called himself a socialist was almost certainly a fascist. Mussolini? Hitler?

I could do this all day.

Could it be the less-dumb places are full of people who are like you and may not want a bunch of poor brown people running around?

We are a democracy idiot. We vote for our representatives. Your fascist cult lost under that system so they tried to end it.

The concentration of wealth and corruption of government by the rich is a fact not an insane conspiracy theory like your cult believing that their enemies are blood drinking pedophiles and JFK Jr is alive.

You support a fascist, it's undeniable, so your only defense is "well you support a fascist too!" without any evidence of said fascism.

No. We are a constitutional republic. And had the events on 1/6 gone to the Supreme Court, and they had determined it to be constitutional (just assume for the sake of this academic discussion), then Trump would have been the legal president according to the constitution. And anyone who didn't like it would be an enemy of the constitution. And if they pressed the matter, subject to the full weight of all branches of government.

But this should be a lesson to you as well. Because the right to guns is protected by the constitution. The electoral college is protected. The right to provate property is protected. And yes, even being rich is probably protected.

So, you may not like these things, but you will ------- accept them. Because they are protected. Or pit yourself against all of those who took an oath to support and defend the constitution.

That's a FORM of democracy dum dum. How do our senators and congressment get their jobs? How do electors get picked? We vote for them. That's a democracy. That's why your fascist cult tried to overthrow based on the lies from a criminal con man.

Are we going to play your favorite game where you derail a whole thread into a semantic debate between chinese style socialism and canadian style socialism? Why do you never tire of that game?
