Wow. I am happy to hear it. That would have been a horrible thing to do to that man on circumstantial evidence.

It felt like a scapegoat at the time, so it is refreshing to read that a random undesignated sailor wasn't selected to be thrown under the ship.

#3 The navy did the same with the Iowa 16" turret explosion.

With so many America hating Republicans in the armed forces, it's perfectly reasonable for the military to view these incidents as likely
acts of sabotage by America's enemies.

An entire generation of American Republicans have been co-opted by Russia. Literally millions of people.

I would like to check back in case anyone read the links I posted earlier.

My 'heart goes out' to the little feller, he's just a kid after all.
My suggestion would be, that if someone shows the initiative to apply to UDT (seals), that if they washout, they don't wash all the way down to Deck Department. I believe that he should have been offered a chance for another training program, according to his ASVAB scores. Deck Department is miserable, it's where you go if joining to avoid jail. The accomodations are more crowded, and likely the AC doesn't work well, your coop (accomodation) is going to be below waterline, so anywhere tropical, you will be miserable and dirty most of the time. -------- E-5s hassling you all the time as well.
I understand why he wasn't found guilty, after reading the linked articles. It doesn't matter, really, if he started the fire of not. Even if he did, it's because he was broken. There's certainly no need to condemn him to a life sentence, he did Not destroy the ship even if he did start the fire, even if he cut the nearby firehoses or ANY other circumstance.
His superiors were responsible. They let a trash fire sink their ship. Heads rolled. Imagine taking to war a ship that can't survive a trash fire. I don't know if they still do, but used to be everybody in the Navy has at least one week of full-time firefighting training. No one runs from a fire. You can't go across the street and watch it burn, they taught. And if you're real you might volunteer for Nucleus fire. You get to wear a red shirt, and you run as fast as you can, TOWARDS the fire.

The first guy that died, in this film, was the CPO you see running straight in with a handheld PKP bottle.

This film has been edited, they cut away at 4:10, just before the Chief gets exploded.
The one they showed in the service showed everything.
Speculation has been made that it was caused by a pilot wet-starting and cooking off a missile on a neighboring aircraft. ----- all burnt up so no one really knows. Some say the pilot was John McCain but who knows. Doesn't really matter, does it?

There's at least one on the Supreme Court, for example

There's about 126 in the House of Representatives and six in the Senate.

Our last President was one.

Thousands stormed The Capitol on Jan 6, and those who led the charge are saying Trump ordered it.

Do you dispute these facts?

"The fire erupted on the 844-foot warship the morning of July 12, 2020, while "the Navy slept," Jones, the prosecutor, said during closing arguments Thursday."

That's interesting, I remember it being July 1.

Just goes to show you can't trust eyewitness testimony.

To be fair I didn't see the fire, but I did smell it. Nosewitness testimony.

Why are you defending the guy who got acquitted like he's guilty?
