New rules: if you want to own or reside in a non-moving building in florida it has to be hurricane proof.

It will only help for about a decade, maybe 15 years.
Sea level rise is coming, and much of the state of
Florida is only a foot or three above sea level...

Build on steel driven elevate stilts and pilings, rammed/poored
a good 6-10 feet into the ground, and reinforced with concrete.
That's your best bet. And then hurricane enforced
specs for the buidling's construction. Won't be cheap...

At least liberals have solutions.

Conservatives have nothing.

Just hate.

I suspect that we won't hear much about this community from Florida officials since it does NOT fit THEIR narrative as to how to make America energy independent; DRILL BABY DRILL.

How about I make you hate my fist?

"How about I make you hate my fist?"

Is it too small to satisfy?

"It's easy to finger-point and assign blame, and getting lathered up with opinions can be kind of fun. But digging out the truth would be better for all of us."

Those aren't new rules. Since 1995, houses are required to be built to sustain 120 mph winds. Higher in South Florida. House has to be elevated to at least a foot above the 100 year flood elevation,

Houses built after 95 held up pretty well In Ian.

Intelligence prevails:
"The streets in this meticulously planned neighborhood were designed to flood so houses don't. Native landscaping along roads helps control storm water. Power and internet lines are buried to avoid wind damage. This is all in addition to being built to Florida's robust building codes... Many drive electric vehicles, taking full advantage of solar energy in the Sunshine State.

Climate resiliency was built into the fabric of the town with stronger storms in mind...The storm obliterated the nearby Fort Myers and Naples areas with record-breaking surge and winds over 100 mph. It knocked out power to more than 2.6 million customers in the state, including 90% of Charlotte County...But the lights stayed on in Babcock Ranch."

Boaz response? "Liberal solutions never are (cheap)." Better we socialize the cost of FREEDUMB and LIBEERTY.

Looks like you two took my advice and workshopped out a few jokes.

Good job boys, this was an improvement on your usual, boring attempts at trolling.
