Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, October 04, 2022

Herschel Walker, the football legend now running for Senate in Georgia, says he wants to completely ban abortion, likening it to murder and claiming there should be "no exception" for rape, incest, or the life of the mother. But the Republican candidate has supported at least one exception--for himself. A woman who asked not to be identified out of privacy concerns told The Daily Beast that, after she and Walker conceived a child while they were dating in 2009, he urged her to get an abortion.

She supported these claims with a $575 receipt from the abortion clinic, a "get well" card from Walker, and a bank deposit receipt that included an image of a signed $700 personal check from Walker.

Walker's son Christian, who has supported his father and appeared at his fundraisers, appears to have dropped his support for his father.

Christian lashed out on twitter at his father's hypocrisy and lies. He claims every member of the family urged Hershel not to run and claims that his father "left us to bang a bunch of women" and "threatened to kill us." He went on to claim that his father is living a lie by claiming to be a "moral, Christian, upright man."

Not a big leap for 99% of Republicans.

They're all ---- using Jeebus to justify their ----tiness to themselves while the fools around them think the show is for them.

Looks like she got a little stipend for herself.

Truth be known....many in the so called Pro-Life movement are every bit as hypocritical as Walker.

Who are conservatives stoning this time... the baby or the mother?

I would have added the father as an option, but who are we kidding. Everyone knows that conservatives believe that a male has absolutely zero responsibility for a pregnancy. Why stone an innocent man?

This situation, if found to be true, will not bother most on the Right at all. Hershel only paid for the procedure. It was the evil temptress with whom he laid (probably while under some spell she cast) that is the demon here. She raped him! Hershel is the innocent victim in their eyes. just watch--the spin will start in about 3...2...1...

The politics of the "christian" cancervatives has nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus Christ.

The woman who Walker urged to commit murder (as Walker defines it) obviously had it planned out back in 2009 that she would seduce him, get him pregnant and then drop an October surprise on him 13 years later. This unidentified woman is probably actually Chelsea Clinton.

Keeping receipts of all medical expenses is common. Medical care expenses exceeding 7.5 percent of adjusted gross income are deductible if you itemize.

The problem witb this big reveal is that everyone, including Republicans, already knew that Herschel Walker is a complete POS, and they don't care. They hate liberals way more than they hate Republicans who pay for abortions. So this isn't going to make a dent.

But, who keeps an abortion receipt?

Apparently she did. From the article:

A woman who asked not to be identified out of privacy concerns told The Daily Beast that, after she and Walker conceived a child while they were dating in 2009, he urged her to get an abortion. The woman said she had the procedure and that Walker reimbursed her for it.

She supported these claims with a $575 receipt from the abortion clinic, a "get well" card from Walker, and a bank deposit receipt that included an image of a signed $700 personal check from Walker.

The woman said there was a $125 difference because she "ball-parked" the cost of an abortion after Googling the procedure and added on expenses such as travel and recovery costs.

Curious to see if, in redneck Georgialand, his poll numbers go down at all.
They already knew he was a mentally ill serial liar and psychopath.
Now, Georgia GQPers have to go "all in" or else lose the Senate...again.

What I don't understand is how Kelly Loeffler, as generic and braindead of a candidate as she was, managed to do worse against Warnock than Walker appears poised to do. There's something about the dynamic of Georgia politics that definitely escapes me here.

Pointing out a Walker's flaws are necessary but not sufficient to dissuade persuadable voters. Discussion of his flaws must be presented in such a way as to win over persuadables and confuse non persuadables. Try pointing out that Walker can not be trusted; that he is a Judas or a Benedict Arnold or a bad role model depending on the audience. Point out that he has failed to live up to conservative/religions principles; that so much was expected of him given his GOD given talents.

The idea is to make persuadables either vote for the dem or to not vote.
