Rupert Murdoch, the media mogul who controls some of the most powerful organs in conservative media, appeared to make clear Wednesday that he would prefer to cast aside former President Donald Trump in favor of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as the leader of the Republican party.

Looks like Murdoch held back in case trump turned into a king maker.

instead he remained a crap maker.

#2 | Posted by Tor at 2022-11-09 08:37 PM | Reply

He's always been a crap maker. That's why it takes him 10 times to flush.

Donnie Fatso will handle this with the same dignity and grace with which he faces all of his other numerous failures (e.g., 2020 Election, inability to maintain an --------, the dead cat on his head, being unable to see his own toes, needing to hold someone's hand while walking down stairs, seeing Melania's look of disgust when she thinks he's not paying attention).

I'm likening Trump deserters to the Covid-19 virus.

Five today . . . 100 by tomorrow . . . 500 by next week. And so on . . . and so on.

Believe it not, these Mega donors to Trump really do talk to each other.

Imagine if they don't support Trump how much fire retardant their headquarters should invest in? "Gutfeld is really lit this Christmas!" They are a violently ignorant mob after all. :]

How will Sucker Carlson handle this? I'm just asking questions.

It's gonna be popcorn time to watch MAGAts against DeathSantis supporters. A recipe for GOP civil war.

I feel he will undoubtedly support Trump and continue to weaponize his base of white nationalists.

Klepper Fingers The Pulse interviews have shown support for Carlson even while excoriating other anchors.

Fox is surrounded and penetrated, so to speak. Cannibalism is inevitable, imo.:]

I'm not so sure. Does Murdoch have more money than the TV dinner people? Just asking questions. Both of them have more cash than Lewzer ever had in his wildest dreams.

I'm guessing there will be some orders coming down through the chain of command at FOX to slowly start easing themselves away from Trump so advertisers won't realize FOX is doing an about-face.

Tucker will probably buck like a bronco (off camera). Hannity won't have much choice but to run silent since he's been named in Dominion's lawsuit against FOX. The less Hannity says, the better.

Trump is also blaming and accusing Hannity of giving Trump bad advice. But that's just part of Trump's m.o. to blame everybody but himself. Trump uses scapegoats like toilet paper.

Can one of our resident Right-wingers please explain to me why DeSantis is so great? What has he done to earn this admiration as Governor?
Is Florida's economy doing great? Is their education system kicking ass? Other than be mean and punish people I don't see what he's dong?
This is a serious question.

"Other than be mean and punish people...".

You say that as if you believe that the "right" is actually interested in anything else.

It's what they want from government.

Bingo.

Now, WHY the Right is cruel and punishing is what needs to be answered. I guess the simplest answer is that it's actually worked for them for so long. It's kept people of color in their place, women in their place. It's given them power, real and imagined. It's reduced the sense of inferiority so many of them have and compensated for things such as lack of income and education.

I am surprised that there wasn't a spasm of violence after the results of Tuesday. I suppose there's still time, but I always thought that the Hillbilly fascists would be more likely to erupt if they won rather than lost. At the moment they may be too uncertain and scared to kill someone.

Time to get all those Evangelicals who believed Trump was God's chosen vessel for saving the country to transfer that belief to DeSantis. Ronnie and his wife are doing their best to speed that transfer of political and religious allegiance along:

Ron DeSantis' bonkers new ad has to be seen to be believed

On the eighth day, his campaign tells us, God sent Ron DeSantis to save America.

DeSantis is a talented politician with strong political instincts. In 2018 he won by half a point. 4 years later he won by 20 points. That's huge. He's more despised by the left than Trump but it's because he's more effective than Trump. If he has presidential aspirations he needs to appeal to moderates and independents. It remains to be seen if he can do so.

"Different day of Perp,
same ole Derps"...

The right will drink DeSantis and hatred up like
Kool Aid. Why? Because it is always
easier to blame other people for why
your life turned out like -----, than
to look in the mirror.

And the monetarily poor Rethugs never look in the mirror,
reflect, or try to change their lives for the better.
-----...that would require actual effort and work!

Just a party of Hater Taters, crying in their beer.

I hope you dont think jumping on the desantis train means anyone is going to let you pretend you didn't spend 6 years on the trump train, which means you should just sit down and shut the ---- up about politics for a few decades.

I'll cope by reminding you that you supported and defended trump so your opinion is worthless on every thread.
