Too bad the Well-Regulated Militia doesn't announce the days/times of its training exercises. Maybe the Constitution leg-hompers in the Federalist Society should look into that.

Meager McCarthy announced "the collapse of our border" and the overall reduction in immigration arrests in the interior of the United States saying "Our country may never recover from Secretary Mayorkas's dereliction of duty," as he laid out plans to impeach Mayorka.

Really Kevin? Was this shooter an "immigrant"? Was the shooter in Colorado Springs an "imigrant"? How many of the over 600 mass shootings this year, Kevin, were by "immigrants"?

Oh - Randi Weingarten coordinating these mass shootings? How many teacher are carrying out mass shootings?

Better get to work scapegoating and deflecting from your culpability because your policies have really injured this nation.
You're right, we may not recover - from YOU.

The Second Amendment will always be the narrative that best explains mass shootings.

But go ahead and blame pronouns and video games. It's your time to shine!

All I've seen this week from a good number of you is "MAGAt" shooter this and "MAGAt" shooter that. We've got a member of the LGBT+ community shooting innocent people up at a bar and now an African American manager shooting his employees. Again, doesn't fit the narrative many of you try to claim.

Still doesn't change the fact that neither had any business owning a firearm. But if anything it just goes to show red flag laws aren't doing their job as the left would claim.

I'm all for needing to pass a psychological exam before being allowed to purchase a firearm for what it's worth. Because we all know there's zero way the government is going to confiscate all of the guns we have in the US.

Then you'd better start voting for the party that would legislate that requirement instead of the party that wants gunmakers to make as much money as possible selling to whoever wants to buy one.

You can't feel superior to the poors if we let the liberals eliminate them. And the last thing anybody wants is for a huge segment of the population suddenly becoming more competitive, which is what would happen if we leveled the playing field. It's all about finding satisfaction in your place in the pecking order. There's something very Aldous Huxley about that perspective.

your party lost me for more than just absurdly taxing everyone to fund the wealthy.

It was also due to:

Your hateful lies and conspiracies

Undermining our elections and democratic institutions

Taking away the health care rights of women

Trying to take away EVERYONES health care rights and replacing them with nothing.

Disenfranchising voters

Colluding with the Russians.

Allowing Iran to have nuclear weapons.

Discrimination of immigrants and Americans with alternate lifestyles.

Stacking the Supreme Court with Republican ideologues.

And of course. The criminal negligence and incompetence of Trumpy which covers so much like a million Americans dead from Covid etc.

And who can forget republicans supporting Trumpys inciting of the Jan 6th sedition and insurrection?

And so much more. So ... yeah ...

No thanks!!

After reading more about this guy there were so many warning signs that went ignored. Coworkers were well aware of his paranoid delusions. They say he made vague threats that he would do something like this. He had poor communication skills and was often condescending and mean to employees. One is even quoted as saying "Everyone always thought something was wrong with him." Despite that, the people interviewed never reported their concerns to management/human resources.

I don't know anything about the guy's political leanings or if he had any for that matter. What I do know is that there is one major political party that continuously feeds the paranoia that people like Bing feel. That same party also consistently opposes funding of mental health programs that could help identify and assist people before they do something like this. That same party also opposes expanded background checks and waiting periods so people like him can decide to go obtain a gun and carry out a mass shooting all in the same day.

Spare us your false sense of self-righteousness when you constantly support the party that attempts to block every effort to reduced the risk of mass shootings in the US.

I am not sure this is possible. While I agree completely with redflag laws, particularly if the person has had a run in with the law, I am not sure this individual would have been on their radar.

What proof do you have this would have helped?

How about this, why don't we enforce red flag laws?

I think even Bellringer can concede that "The gun was legally purchased from a local store on the morning of Tuesday, November 22, 2022." a cooling off period to do a background check (even though this wouldn't have mattered) might have worked. Virginia doesn't have these sorts of waiting periods.

I would also say reading the note from the assailant he feels he was subject to bullying.

All this said, I do find this much more of a problem

Every time an act of violence happens lefty ghouls sprout chub or get damp (depending on their sex) trying to blame their ideological opponents for the violence. And when the facts don't support the narrative they plod forward anyway. It's disgusting and they feel entitled to not be held up to any scrutiny for their own words and rhetoric, much less the same level of scrutiny.

Oppose men participating in women's sports? You hate the LGBTQ community - of course those different people are all lumped together so when a lesbian opposes it they are considered heretics and are now TERF's.

Oppose sexually explicit materials in school libraries and drag queens gyrating in front of kids without parental consent - more of the same. If parents speak up at school board meetings they are labeled domestic terrorists and the Biden administration has its DOJ label them as such and sic the FBI on them.

Labelling tens of millions of people as "semi-fascists and domestic terrorists" and a few weeks later a man runs over and kills an 18 year old because he believed the kid was a radical Republican - can NOT talk about any correlation there between rhetoric and violence.

You lefty ghouls who do this (and the number is very high) are disgusting pieces of dung.

Let me slow it down for you Barney style:
Colorado Springs is a "2nd Amendment Sanctuary" for guns and high capacity magazines.
Colorado Springs is a "2nd Amendment Sanctuary" preventing red flag warnings.
Colorado Springs being deep red decided they wanted guns, guns, guns, and more guns without enforcement of gun laws. They did that against Law Enforcement's own wishes. More GOP "Back the Blue" lies.

Secondly Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws of any city in the country. How is that working out?

They're dealing with RED STATE laws from the GOP that flood the city with guns. Here's some data for you, since you're dedicated to repeating right-wing memes without thinking:

"The police department recovers 10,000 firearms every year in the city of Chicago, yet there are zero ... gun stores within city limits," Smith said. "So, none of those guns originate here."

"It is estimated that 60% of the guns recovered in Chicago were originally purchased out of state, with Indiana, Mississippi and Wisconsin among the top suppliers."

The cities with the highest gun murder rates per capita are:
1. St. Louis, Missouri
2. Baltimore, Maryland
3. Birmingham, Alabama
4. Detroit, Michigan
5. Dayton, Ohio
6. Baton Rouge, Louisiana
7. New Orleans, Louisiana
8. Kansas City, Missouri
9. Memphis, Tennessee
10. Cleveland, Ohio
...
28. Chicago, Illinois

Indianapolis, Indiana is 23rd, and I mention them because gun laws in Indiana allow Indianapolis to have a higher rate of murder by gun than Chicago, where a lot of Indiana's guns end up. Indiana is the highest contributor. Mississippi and Wisconsin also manage to have cities in the top 50.
