Said the man: "Please don't put me back on that ship!"

In a Coast Guard drownproofing class I took in the '70s they told us about a guy who spent 2 days floating in the Mediterranean after he fell overboard from a Navy ship.

I've had water survival training and it's surprising what can be made into a life preserver when you don't have one. Even boots, which can be taken off, turned upside down, pushed into the water where air is trapped inside and put under your armpits. Who would have thought of such without the training?

Coast Guard "downproofing" didn't involve any equipment. It was a survival technique that let you float and breath with minimum effort. To pass the course you had to go out to the middle of the swimming pool and stay there for an hour. I though it was going to be an ordeal. I promptly went to sleep and napped the whole hour.

That is indeed a miracle. And he was found and rescued at night, no less.

Reports are that he was drinking and left to go to the bathroom. How in the world could he fall overboard?

If it were really a miracle he would have walked to shore. WWJD?

I'll mark down "gravity" as something else you know nothing about.
