Right-Wing Activists Sentenced for Phony Robocalls

A judge on Tuesday ordered Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman, two right-wing conspiracy theorists behind robocalls that sought to intimidate Black voters here out of casting mail-in ballots in the 2020 presidential election, to spend 500 hours registering voters in low-income neighborhoods in the Washington, D.C., area.

My guess is the agreement includes the phrase "...to the satisfaction of..." a court-appointed (or court-approved) superior.

It's not like they let these mooks self-report.

Actually, what will probably happen is each of them will be assigned a partner - another signature gatherer - most likely a black person.

This should be more serious than 500 hours of basically what is community service. I mean who is going to check up to see if they even do the work properly? Maybe have them go until they have 500 people registered then jail for at least a year when they get this accomplished?

When you honestly think about it, the judge's decision to sentence these two individuals to the particular type of community service that he did, is probably going to be seen, at least by them, as a greater punishment than if he had sentenced them to jail.

This is what they do. Remember when Bush, after he lost New Hampshire to McCain, ran a push poll in S.Carolina? "Would you be more likely or less likely to vote for John McCain if you knew he fathered an illegitimate black baby?
McCain was furious! So mad he hired the same firm to do the same thing to Obama a few years later.

No wonder the Reps. are always trying their "tricks" every time they

can....they know their punishment will be a wink of the eye and slap

in the wrist....if it was the other way around, the violator would

be facing serious jail time......like that black lady in one southern state...

Wohl and Burkman are two of the biggest ------ of the MAGA movement. Both are worthy of a severe beating, this article doesn't even skim the surface of their crimes and fake business these two are guilty of. Google Jacob Wohl in particular in you don't know about his activities. Appalling is just the beginning of the story.

Lets not forget that they may still face charges in Michigan for basically the same offense, only this was targeting people living in and around Detroit.
