The one-sided battle of the billionaires is over before it really began, with Elon Musk saying his spat with Apple boss Tim Cook over perceived threats to remove Twitter from the App Store was a "misunderstanding"

More from the article...

...Musk claimed earlier this week that Apple was going to "withhold" the social media platform's app from its digital store for an unspecified reason. He then launched a series of attacks on the company, using his near 120 million followers to turn up the heat.

Amid the noise, he retweeted a parody of Apple's 1984 video by Fortnite maker Epic Games, and created a poll to ask his fans if Apple should "publish all censorship actions it has taken that affect its customers."

Despite helping to whip some of his fans into a frenzy, Musk has now thanked Apple CEO Tim Cook, in a tonally very different tweet, for "taking me around Apple's beautiful HQ."

As pointed out by the New York Times, Cook has used charm offensives before to smooth out situational crinkles, including joining a White House advisory panel after being criticized by former president Donald Trump.

Musk didn't specify why he thought Twitter was going to be ejected from Apple's online store, and neither did he confirm if the other things discussed included Apple's advertising budget with Twitter.

Days ago Musk said Apple had "mostly stopped advertising on Twitter. Do they hate free speech in America?"

Apple has maintained a dignified silence throughout, obviously preferring to invite Elon into the fold rather than exchanging blows on a public platform he owns and where he has plenty of obsequious followers....

So, Mr Musk seems to have made accusations against Apple, without providing any evidence and now he has retracted those accusations.

In other words, this supposed genius fell for the rightwing propaganda that he thinks is "news" and it blew up in his face. And since he's such a genius, it wont cause him to rethink where he gets his news from at all.

Musk realized Apple can destroy Twitter by removing it on the App Store.

There's plenty of evidence that Apple requires silencing of Free speech, it actually has a "moderation" policy for applications, how is this not imposing their free speech ideas?

Musk didn't specify why he thought Twitter was going to be ejected from Apple's online store,

Yes he did, he said Apple was pressuring Twitter over content moderation demands. There are numerous violations of Apple ToS technical liberals have outlined

Apple made the apps store. It's theirs. If they dont want fascist propganda apps on their app store, that's their choice.

Can I put a biden sign on YOUR lawn? Or would you "silence my free speech" by not letting me use your property to display my politics?

Maybe when Elon gets his chip installed he will stop misunderstanding things.

Sounds like one iron nut needs one too.

It's called Reality.

I'm not surprised you've never heard of it.

But no, I don't favor the little guy when he is in the wrong. Why would you?

I remember when I was a child, my dad took me to Edward Sullivan TV repair, in the back was a sign that said "Ed Sullivan TV". I asked him why the sign was in the back store room. His answer was that after 30 years in business as "Ed Sullivan TV" one day a lawyer represent Ed Sullivan came in and handed him a letter demanding he cease using the name Ed Sullivan or he would be sued by Ed Sullivan for infringement. He told the lawyer he was Ed Sullivan TV long before anyone heard of Ed Sullivan. The lawyers response was "Maybe. But we will put you out of business with legal costs." So Edward Sullivan had to spend his own money changing the name of his business which was in business first. That is the way the world works.

Muskhole pretending he could stand up to a behemoth like Apple is just more proof he a fraud of a business person.
