All eyes are on the Peach State as voters decide who will win the state's Senate runoff election -- a key contest that will shape the balance of power in the Democratic-controlled Senate next year. At 10:22 p.m. Eastern, NBC News projected incumbent Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock as the winner over Republican challenger Hershel Walker.

They still haven't counted the mail-in votes in places like Atlanta Savannah and Columbus.

And if they haven't counted the votes in the metropolitan areas at all then what we're seeing is the rural votes.

If Rural voters in Georgia are voting 50/50 then Walker is about to get crushed.

I will tell you what is odd. I live in a section of Jacksonville that shares the TV market with Georgia. Warnock commercialsI have been on every five minutes for the last month. .I have not seen one walker commercial. So I'm not sure I understand how close the race is without advertising?

Walker's results are looking very similar to November but Warnock appears to be doing slightly better. As long as turn out didn't take a dip in the metro areas it looks like Dems hold the seat.

The networks haven't called it yet but it seems all over but the crying. Warnock is ahead and there's a lot more votes yet to count in places where he is winning big.

Trump deserves the nation's thanks for foisting the worst candidate in the 2020 election cycle on Georgia.

Actually did not see that. It was a "concession speech" but he never really conceded.

But he did say to keep dreaming and keep "believing in the constitution and our elected officials". Which really looked like a pointed jab at Trumpy.

And he did noticeably not slip into crazy land and start talking about werewolves vs vampires etc .

It was solemn and respectful speech but I did not hear an actual concession. But I was thinking that maybe if he had kept that tone during the campaign he may have actually won.

Walker never conceded. Never congratulated Rafael Warnock either. Words of conciliation are not words of concession.

BTW, Warnock's win means Republicans are no longer guaranteed half the seats on committees that was done with 50-50 Senate power sharing agreement.

Yeah, Walker's concession statement was the most lucid and meaningful thing he ever said during his campaign. But he should have congratulated Warnock

Also, Walker made it a referendum against Biden and for Trumpism. Its difficult to disentangle votes against Walker because he was an incredibly bad candidate, or a vote against the referendum he represented. Probably mostly both.

Either way, more good news for Biden and the Democrats. And another solid rejection of Trumpism. Nice!
