Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, December 06, 2022

All eyes are on the Peach State as voters decide who will win the state's Senate runoff election -- a key contest that will shape the balance of power in the Democratic-controlled Senate next year. At 10:22 p.m. Eastern, NBC News projected incumbent Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock as the winner over Republican challenger Hershel Walker.

Obviously the election will have been rigged if Walker loses.

Otherwise, it'll be legit.

If Georgia is that gullible.

Which they are, so.....

#8 | Posted by Corky at 2022-12-06 09:13 PM | Reply

They still haven't counted the mail-in votes in places like Atlanta Savannah and Columbus.

And if they haven't counted the votes in the metropolitan areas at all then what we're seeing is the rural votes.

If Rural voters in Georgia are voting 50/50 then Walker is about to get crushed.

I will tell you what is odd. I live in a section of Jacksonville that shares the TV market with Georgia. Warnock commercialsI have been on every five minutes for the last month. .I have not seen one walker commercial. So I'm not sure I understand how close the race is without advertising?

Walker's results are looking very similar to November but Warnock appears to be doing slightly better. As long as turn out didn't take a dip in the metro areas it looks like Dems hold the seat.

#15 | Posted by johnny_hotsauce at 2022-12-06 09:51 PM | Reply

Looks like the last gasp of the "red wave."

LOL the Dems likely gained a seat in the upper house in what should have been a blood bath.

GOP needs some real, serious thought into the direction they're going.

The networks haven't called it yet but it seems all over but the crying. Warnock is ahead and there's a lot more votes yet to count in places where he is winning big.

Trump deserves the nation's thanks for foisting the worst candidate in the 2020 election cycle on Georgia.

Remaining 5% of vote are mainly in metro Atlanta where we can safely assume Warnock is going to knock the crap out of half wit Walker.

Be warned Walker will not admit he has lost he'll say something insane like well I haven't conceded so that means I haven't lost yet.

Outright Senate Majority, and good luck to that Repubican dumpster fire in the House, LOL. The treason caucus is going to be busy between setting up committees to investigate Hunter Biden's peepee pics and visits with their lawyers answering DOJ questions about their participation on J6.

Thank you Georgia, for not electing a brain-damaged nutjob to the Senate.

I look forward to the DR's fascists completely denying that they ever liked T**** and never supported him when his multiple indictments come down. I look forward to Biden's continued appointments of lifetime judges without any obstacles in the Senate. Tonight was a good night for democracy, but we're not done yet. The traitors of the Repubican Party aren't going to get anything significant done.

Actually did not see that. It was a "concession speech" but he never really conceded.

But he did say to keep dreaming and keep "believing in the constitution and our elected officials". Which really looked like a pointed jab at Trumpy.

And he did noticeably not slip into crazy land and start talking about werewolves vs vampires etc .

It was solemn and respectful speech but I did not hear an actual concession. But I was thinking that maybe if he had kept that tone during the campaign he may have actually won.

Walker never conceded. Never congratulated Rafael Warnock either. Words of conciliation are not words of concession.

BTW, Warnock's win means Republicans are no longer guaranteed half the seats on committees that was done with 50-50 Senate power sharing agreement.

#66 | Posted by AMERICANUNITY at 2022-12-07 01:08 AM | Reply | Newsworthy 2

Yeah, Walker's concession statement was the most lucid and meaningful thing he ever said during his campaign. But he should have congratulated Warnock

Also, Walker made it a referendum against Biden and for Trumpism. Its difficult to disentangle votes against Walker because he was an incredibly bad candidate, or a vote against the referendum he represented. Probably mostly both.

Either way, more good news for Biden and the Democrats. And another solid rejection of Trumpism. Nice!

#67 | Posted by horstngraben at 2022-12-07 01:41 AM | Reply

It's hard to believe just 90,134 votes separate these two. Fifty One point two eight percent of the vote for Warnock. Within your typical polling margin of error.

Maybe, maybe not a "concession" but it's a win for the Republic.

Walker did not claim he won, the election was rigged, the election was stolen or any of the other Buffoon world c**p. He paid homage to the system, the Constitution, to the process, elected officials, and asked for continued participation, cast your vote.

Coming from the Buffoon world that's a win for the Republic.
