The January 6 special committee on Wednesday decided to withdraw its subpoena of former President Trump as it concludes its work.

I wonder why?

They don't have 2-3 years to fight in Court to get Trump to appear and plead the 5th I guess.

I mean, Trump isn't a Democrat so its not like he'll pull a Hillary; show up, answer questions for 8 hours, and never plead the 5th.

I never expected fmr Pres Trump to testify before the Committee.

If for the only reason that I expected the Committee to stop its most excellent work once the Republicans took over the House and that fmr Pres Trump would delay his answering of the subpoena until then.

Their subpoena is not relevant at this point. The impending DOJ subpoenas will be. At least, those that aren't connected to indictments.

Well, considering Bill Barr isn't the one releasing the report, I'm not sure how the two are even remotely similar. Mueller found 10 examples of obstruction of justice, but "couldn't prosecute a sitting president" because of a memo. Congress impeached T---- twice, but we were relying on a Party to be loyal to America and the Constitution for that to work out. The Party that turned traitor, and remains firmly in traitor territory, is going through some things...that would be the side you've chosen. The side of traitors. That's you.
