I've read in cultures such as Finland it is considered unseemly to brag about yourself or bring attention to yourself.
It's a different culture. Just about 180 degrees opposite of American.
Notice pictures of neighborhoods how so many houses are painted similar.
It's sort of hard to expect America to function anything like them.

Not with idiots thinking mail-in ballots aren't secure.

Legal,
That's not exactly my train of thought but I figure you're just not capable of understanding my perspective.
I don't really expound on it anymore.

In the long run I will be right and unsolicited ballots sent out will be a thing of the past.
Absentee ballots are fine but must be requested in advance for a good reason other than too lazy to get up and go vote.
My reasons for this are multifaceted from human error to down right cheating the system.

And really devoting so much manpower, labor and resources to a system that is less reliable than simple show your id and vote real time is just dumb.

It's like the last x number of years, where it's been explained to him like he were a five year old, why he's so incorrect as a matter of fact as to be delusional to continue on the way he does, never happened.
The man is impervious to reason. That's what a reliance on belief can do to a person.

Since you have yet to find anybody casting fraudulent ballots, it must be "certain" legal voters you're worried about.
Simple question: should it be made harder or easier for a legal voter to cast a legal vote?

" In the long run I will be right and unsolicited ballots sent out will be a thing of the past."
You've had a quarter century in Oregon, and a century and a half for the military. And you've yet to find a single problem.
Define "long run".

At a minimum it probably means until covid ceases to be something Democrats are able to use to manipulate policy.

Perhaps at some point our leaders are going to evaluate the cost/benefit of processing mail-in ballots and realize its dumb.
Absentee ballots are not the same thing in my definition. I see a lot of deliberate confusing of the issue in the liberal controlled media.
There's also subjective ethical reasons it should not be part of a true democracy.

The military has been doing it for over 150 years. Why haven't there been any large scale problems? Oregonians have been doing it for almost 3 decades. Why no report of problems?
Face it, the reason you've come to that conclusion is more people participating makes your side lose. That's the sole reason. You're not worried about illegal voters casting a vote, you're worried about "certain" legal voters casting a vote.

Sorry, Humpty Dumpty, you don't get to change definitions at will.
Absentee ballots are mail-in ballots are absentee ballots.

" I see a lot of deliberate confusing of the issue in the liberal controlled media."
What you see is a media demanding even the barest of proof for the serious claim of fraudulent ballots, and pointing out, repeatedly, there is none, and never has been.
The only folks "confusing the issue" are those still pretending fraud at scale exists without producing a scintilla of proof, after decades of chances.

The confusing I was referring to is calling absentee ballots mailed-in ballots and not differentiating between the two.

"The confusing I was referring to is calling absentee ballots mailed-in ballots and not differentiating between the two."
The "confusing" I was referring to were those who have had decades to accumulate even the most basic proof of systemic fraud, can't produce an iota, yet still refuse to admit what really bothers them is people voting he wishes wouldn't have as much opportunity.

Hag,
I was complaining about mail in ballots a month before the election.
I saw the potential for there to be doubt in the results.
I don't believe the final numbers were as accurate as past elections along with other people.
American elections must be handled with the utmost respect.

Please elucidate. What, in your opinion, is the difference.
As a follow up. Explain exactly how it effected the election results.

So??? How does that change the fact you have no proof, and never had any proof of voter fraud?
Pro tip: theories which produce NO EVIDENCE over 150 years are false theories.

"I saw the potential for there to be doubt in the results."
By purposely misunderstanding things like evidence, and macro math.
Your theory is, ballots were taken by Democrats from Republicans, and cast in their name, against their Republican will and wishes.
Of course, if that was actually happening, folks would be coming out of the woodwork to substantiate your theory...ESPECIALLY after a close election where their candidate lost, possibly in part from the results of your theory.
The fact NO ONE has come forward can lead to only one conclusion: your theories are malarky. In fact, the lack of ANYONE coming forward suggests how cockamamie your underlying concept remains.

Just say it, if you want it that badly: You're not upset about illegal voting, you just don't want "certain" groups of LEGAL voters voting.
For proof: should it be made easier or more difficult for the legal voter to cast their legal vote?

Mail-in ballots are cheaper and better, in person voting should be illegal. Cheaper because people don't have to stand in line during a few specific days. Better because people can research the positions of candidates carefully while filling out their ballot, and there are no ability or scheduling limits to voting.

Having spent the last decade or so working for a major legacy Danish Corporation and spending a great deal of time in Scandinavia, the typical dumbass Progressive American affinity for their social welfare systems cracks a lot of folks up.
These are tiny countries with racially and culturally homogenous populations. It's basically like living in a small town. The 20th Century versions of those countries are courtesy of the US Capital invested to ensure the Red Army's tanks didn't roll across their little "Democratic Socialist" Gingerbread villages they had the privilege of creating.
The notion that you can somehow replicate those systems in a geographically enormous and diverse country of 300 million like the United States is absurd.
Until you're willing to send an army of social workers to have a conversation with Laquisha in the 'Hood and explain the concept of Janteloven so that she might cascade it on to her 5 fatherless children for 5 generations, we ain't gonna be like Denmark or Norway.

Interesting thing about this. A friend of mine lived in Finland for a while. His take away was the alcoholism and suicide rates were sky high. But when I just looked their overall suicide rate puts them just in front of the US. Their alcohol consumption is a different thing. They do consume much more than the US but the rate isn't that much higher. But interestingly in Finland over 50% of drinkers having a heavy sessions when they were in a lower age group which is unlike most other countries and he was young at the time. I can relate to that "heavy sessions" bit from my years at Michigan Tech... It was like it was the campus sport virtually all took part in.

It is that. My mother was from Finland and any time I was there on a trip there was a whole lot of drinking going on everywhere. Mostly home made.

They won't be happy until one of their Corporate Masters owns the sidewalks of America and charges everyone a subscription to use them.

Pete, when did you attend Michigan Tech? I graduated from 'daTech' in 1971 with a BSME.
As for the drinking, considering that winters in the 'Copper Country' lasted most of the year, it was understandable ;-)

Wrong!! So offing wrong! I lived in both Norway and Denmark and was married to a Norwegian for over six years and what you painted about those countries is pure BS. The Danes and Norwegian both take in many thousands of immigrants from around the world. I was surprised to see Koreans living in Norway that had arrived durning the Korean war. Many Middle Eastern people, Africans live there and Afghanis and Pakistanis. My ex wife is a immigration lawyer that specializes in helping gay Moslem immigrants escape persecuting in their countries and she would laugh in your face about what you wrote. The Danes had soldiers serving in the Afghanistan conflict and Norway shares a boarder with Russia and defends it well all by themselves until recently when the US sent some soldiers there to train because Ukraine got invaded. In no way is Denmark or Norway homogeneous any longer.
