Because Biden is visiting Mexico soon, Mex Pres. AMLO decided to arrest El Chapo's son, Ovidio

CDS and rival cartels have laid siege to Culiacan, where Ovidio is being held.

The cartels have also declared Culiacan a "no fly zone" to keep Ovidio from being flown out.

The cartels have escalated this into a full blown battle by deploying MANPADS to enforce the "no fly zone".

A Mexican Air Force CASA C-295 was hit and almost shot down today.

"Alleged cartel members carjacked residents' cars, set vehicles ablaze and intermittent gunfire could be heard into the afternoon, as Mexico authorities warned people to stay inside and airports in several Sinaloa cities remained closed."

Just days before U.S. President Joe Biden's visit to Mexico, the country was thrown into chaos as alleged cartel members blocked off a northern Mexico airport, areas outside a local army base, and limited major access to the city of Culiacan, in an unsuccessful effort to thwart the capture of drug trafficker Ovidio Guzmn, son of infamous Sinaloa drug lord known as "El Chapo."

Mexican security forces captured Guzmn an alleged drug trafficker who is wanted by the U.S. for his involvement in the cartel's activities, in a predawn operation Thursday.

The incident spurred gunfights across the northwestern state's capital ahead of Biden's scheduled two-day visit on Jan. 9 for bilateral talks with Mexican President Andrs Manuel Lpez Obrador and the North American Leaders' Summit with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Good point.

The Cartel should hire some Proud Boys and Oathkeepers from the US like Trump did.

Real thugs.

I completely forgot that the insurrectionists smeared excrement in the Capitol building.

They literally acted like animals.

They shut down the aeropuerto in Culiacan because their poorly regulated Militia, with no inherent Constitutional right to bear arms, has MANPADS.

While the cause is certainly questionable, it's nice to see what a well-armed citizenry is capable of.

The current Regime has determined that the border between us and Mexico is merely Cartographical Construct.

We've got some catching up to do, but we're not too far behind Mexico.

Looking forward to it.

If the guy is as violent as they make him out to be, then he is guilty of crimes against humanity and is little more than a war criminal. I am surprised they do not just put a bullet in his head.
