He's one of the top high school football players in the country. But the parents of Mike Hawkins Jr. say his days at Allen High School are over after a racist message was painted on the family's home.

What's the O/U that the perps were a couple of colored kids?

That's usually the case in situations like this.

It'll come out eventually, but by then we'll have all moved on to the next shiny object for the Purple-Haired Pronoun Order of the Perpetually Outraged.....

It was a probably a little stickbag ----- like Mao who thinks he should be QB 1.

"That's usually the case in situations like this."

Sure it is.

I assume he can leave school and still be eligible to play next Fall somewhere else without having to sit?

Colored kids?

What's the O/U you're racist?

Interesting that even being a football star provided no immunity.

The family was right to escape.

Just Texans doing what comes naturally to them, - spewing racist filth. This is why a lot more people from California and the Northeast need to move to Texas and dilute that population. The only way change will happen.

Allen is really nice suburb of Dallas.

Correct.

It's possible that this is either a hoax or the perp is black.

Allen is really nice suburb of Dallas and we don't need no ******* messin' that up.

I have no reason to believe that they are lying. I'm sorry that the Hawkins family has been subjected to this.

That said, Texas law does include incentive for parents of student-athletes to fabricate reason for transfer.

"A student who has changed schools for athletic purposes may be declared ineligible for more than one calendar year.
See Section 443 (f) (3)."
www.uiltexas.org

Furthermore, Texas places the burden of proof on the student/school to disprove a credible eligibly challenge. This made headlines this past November after Texas stripped Duncanville of their 2021-2022 state basketball championship and suspended their coach for one year after ruling that the transfer of one of top basketball players in the state, Anthony Black, was done for athletic purposes.

I feel it is a ridiculous rule. There should be no disincentive to parents looking to move to a district that better positions their children for future success regardless if that reason is a better academic or athletics program.

#14: Very interesting. So you are saying that there is a genuine motive to fabricate a racial incident. Must admit I am skeptical of that, but let's see if more information develops now that the story has gone national.

"Why his family would become the target of a racist attack is as baffling as it is disturbing."

Has anyone checked if they are black?

That's usually all it takes for the white scum trash to get fired up.

#14 - What are you skeptical of? I cited the rule and provided a link to the document.

Again, I'm not saying Hawkins family fabricated anything. I believe them. Racism exists and interracial families like the Hawkins' are frequent targets.

I am skeptical that the family vandalized their own home with racist epithets in order to have their son be able to switch schools. I am not skeptical that such a law exists in Texas as you posted.

You gotta love it when a MAGA moron, who's entire political outlook and action is based on fauxrage and a false victimization complex, accuses others of being outraged.

Good, if they live in Allen they have the resources to send to any appreciative school in the city. Personally I would like to see his talents in Oak Cliff.

Based on this story, it's a really nice racist -------- suburb of Dallas.
Then again, what suburb isn't? Suburbs only exist because of White Flight. They are built on racism.

Allen actually has a relatively high rate of diversity.

Plenty of upwardly mobile Meskins and Indians...and no small number of blacks.

Again, the chances of this being a legitimate hate crime are small to nil.

These days, that level of overt hate and racism exists almost exclusively in the fevered little imaginations of Progressive dumbasses on the internet rather than in the real world.

I hope you're right about that.

I wouldn't call Allen a sh***ole nor would I smear a city as racist based on a sample of one.

Out of curiosity...

Are you the kind that shaves your head or wears a white robe?

I'm calling BS on this. Allen is a bit more upscale than many other parts of the Dallas metro area, and even has a selection of religious denominations with facilities there. Texans love them some football and would back a troupe of lesbians if they could beat their teams arch rivals. I'll wager that this young man let slip that he has selected the wrong college in someone's eyes, and folks are honked off that he is not going to the school of their personal choice ...

Excellent...more top athletes should do
what this brave kid did when faced with direct racism. Let the racist swine choke on their losing team.

Nothing would piss a bunch of racist rednecks off more than to have their 'football night' ruined.
