Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Former Vice President Mike Pence's Simon and Schuster autobiography "So Help Me God" was released Nov. 15, 2022, but on Nov. 9, Pence spent a hefty sum at an online bookstore, according to financial reports from the Federal Elections Commission.

It's unclear if Pence's massive expenditure was for his own book, though it's unlikely he was stocking up on the seven volumes of Harry Potter for 10,000 people.

This isn't abnormal.

It's why I don't usually give much credence to people putting "NYT #1 Bestselling Author" as a resume item.

I was curious to see what he said about Trump's mad march to Saint John's Church.

I was horrified to see how much he lied in just the two pages I read.

"One of the finest books I've ever read."

Buying up your own book is a very bad thing to do. It says nothing at all good about the kind of man you are.

Unlike Pence, his book has a spine.

Sales of Al Franken's book, I'm Good Enough, I'm Smart Enough, and Doggone It, People Like Me!: Daily Affirmations by Stuart Smalley... happened to have surged on Nov 9th.

Just sayin'.

Mike Pence, the living embodiment of pompous cluelessness. Come on, Mike, your "time" done come and gone. You were lucky Trump reached down into the GOP muck to latch onto a sufficiently feckless, subservient character to serve (you will serve!) as his toady. Otherwise, you'd have probably lost your governorship and drifted into well-deserved obscurity among the ranks of delusional Hoosier Christonationalists. As it is, you're even further debasing yourself. What do you want, Mike? The presidency? Are you effin kidding? Ain't gonna happen. Hasn't "Mother" clued you in ... yet?

Somebody had to buy it...

$90,000? Maybe it was really $9000 or $900 dollars. I mean who would order 4,000 copies of his own book?

In other words, a cheat.

Gotta mail one to everyone who's ever donated a thousand, or something like that.
