... All three Marines, who were arrested more than two years after the attack, work in jobs connected to the intelligence community. ...
Which makes it all the more frightening that they seem to be loyal to fmr Pres Trump and not to the Constitution.

There are reasons, both good and bad, why they are called Jarheads.

This is your counterintelligence community at work.
Movies like to portray the IC as the ones operating in the shadows. Maybe sometimes. The craziest dudes I've ever known, including those in special ops, were the ones in counterintelligence.
They're the dudes who go into places like San Pedro Sula or Mogadishu and try and make friends with the people who want to kill most of us.

"people who want to kill most of us."
By "us" you mean invading American troops, right? Because the average person anywhere on planet earth doesn't want to kill Americans just for being American.

No. By "us" I mean anyone who gets in their way.
It could be invading US troops. More likely it's locals who don't want to be owned by cartels. Or Al-Quaeda.
Or in this case, US service members who had violated their oath of office.

This was treason pure and simple treason. Have them tried in a military Court and hung by the neck until dead for their crimes.

"Have them tried in a military Court and hung by the neck until dead for their crimes."
If the sentence has already been determined, what's the point in trying them?

No death sentence but serious prison time for these guys who violated their oath but if we punish them for violaying their oaths then there are many politicians of deserving punishment too, especially including Donald Trump. Let's not hold these men to a higher standard than we do the President.
