...Navarro, a senior advisor to former President Donald Trump during the four years of his administration, was indicted in June on two counts of contempt of Congress for failing to comply with a February subpoena seeking records and testimony. The subpoena was served by the now-defunct House select committing charged with investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on Congress. The committee, which dissolved with the end of the 117th Congress in the new year, believed that Navarro had information pertinent to its probe. Navarro has sought to have the two charges against him dismissed, arguing Trump had invoked executive privilege in the matter, but Judge Amit Mehta of the U.S. District of Court for the District of Columbia ruled Thursday that he failed to prove that the former president had used his powers to shield him from giving testimony and handing over the requested documents. ...

The request to dismiss the charges against Navarro was denied as was his Hail Mary claim of "executive privilege."
"Dems" are not letting him get away with anything. They might even dangle a plea deal to flip Navarro against Trump, who (sometimes we forget) is REAL target of these investigations.
Also consider that Navarro is 73 years old. He's prime "flip" material.

Also, the guy basically melted down after getting hauled in. Handcuffs, the standard procedures, all seemed to freak him out. He's also clearly a nutter. So if he has anything worth flipping him for, go at it.

@#4 ... the guy basically melted down after getting hauled in. ...
imo, he had always been melting around the edges. Whenever I've seen him on the news, he always reminded me of two marbles rolling around inside an empty tin can.

Mr. Navarro, a senior advisor to Trump, was involved in Trump's attempt to overturn the election. . . up to his eyeballs.

"This ---- happened 2 years ago. "
And that's exactly how long this story has been making media headlines.
Mr. Navarro is just low hanging fruit. His value is a witness against Trump and nothing more. Unless he decides he'd rather spend a few years behind bars taking showers with some very patriotic American inmates.

Is this a lesson on how democrats should respond to any GOP inspired congressional subpoenas?
Regardless I can't imagine living life like this always fighting the courts to stay out prison.
It's gotta be exhausting. I get exhausted just reading about it!
