Germany to send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine -- reports
www.dw.com

...Not-yet-confirmed news reports from several outlets say Germany's government has decided to send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine along with allies. This follows a fairly long-running debate.

German news magazine Der Spiegel and others published stories on Tuesday evening saying that the government in Berlin had decided to send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.

This follows a long-running debate on the issue among NATO allies, and comes after Poland formally asked Berlin for permission to send some of its Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine earlier on Tuesday.

Spiegel magazine reported that the decision would involve sending at least one company of Leopard 2A6 tanks.

Spiegel attributed its information to government sources but did not identify them. Broadcaster ntv issued a similar report, and the dpa news agency later said its "coalition sources" had said the same. But the government did not immediately comment publicly on the reports.

German-made military equipment can only be sent to third countries with approval from Berlin. Spiegel reported that other European countries, including some in Scandinavia, would also supply their tanks to Kyiv.

Although Germany's Defense Ministry, military, and several other actors would surely have been involved in discussions, ultimately the authority to make this decision rests with Chancellor Olaf Scholz....

We have two flags for people like that. "Offensive" and "Abusive."

I won't hesitate to use either one or both if this conduct continues past this moment. Then let Rcade decide. We all know what that means.

FINALLY. And in other good news Estonia is sending ALL of their 155mm artillery to Ukraine. That means dozens of FH-70 155mm and additionally D-30 122mm howitzers are to be sent to Ukraine. Along with the shells. Estonia knows if Putin succeeds in Ukraine they are next.

Well...the world is going nuts comrades! Your ancestors weren't so ignorant as to go to war against Russia. But Biden, Zelenskyy, Macron, and others are a new breed. Keep in mind that Donbas, Luhansk, and Crimea are now Russia. The people in these territories voted to join Russia. If necessary, Russia can use nukes on its own territories. Yup! You've a lot to lose especially if you have family.

"There's a bunch of logistics staff right now getting forest whitaker eye trying to support this insane mish mash of hardware."

That's sorta what I was thinking.

You can look at satellite imagery of many airports in the developing, and even developed world, and see the rotting hulks of aircraft that the country couldn't afford to maintain.

Buying the equipment is one thing. Having the operators, maintenance personnel, and the logistics tail to keep it all going is another.

Hell, I think I could afford to buy a MiG-21. I just couldn't afford to do anything with it once I had it.

So the Ukrainian government could just roll over and you know, give peace a chance, instead of Mooching billions for fun and profit, killing hundreds of thousands of their"own" people and losing anyway.

Lol.

As a USA citizen, is this supposed to make me feel good? Have you seen the prices in the stores comrades. At the checkout, a small Hershey chocolate bar is now selling for over $2. A Sunday paper is now about $5. Biden with his rash support of Ukraine has skyrocketed inflation to a level I've never seen before.

Comrades...you'll see. You'll see how Biden and his supporting minions are bringing disaster to the world. Why? Because like Trump he has to kowtow to the capitalist rich ever hungry for more and more money. When a small Hershey chocolate bar sells for over $2 at the checkout, you should realize that YOU are in trouble. Dick and Jane are also in trouble. I predict that gas prices for cars will go up this summer. Why...that seems to be the trend! And what's interesting is that Biden seems to care more for the Ukraine than USA citizens Dick and Jane. Biden is on the mountain top, and below him are his capitalist rich minions. And far below him out of sight are the USA commoners Dick and Jane comrades.

Push them into the trash heap of history.

Weapons are the solutions to weapons- does anyone else find this mindless? It will never end. How much cash have we sent in weapons? I'd bet Russia would leave for food and cash.

Hey! Comrades...you think the USA is great? Have you had to work in this USA hell hole? They make you work here with rigor just like the Egyptians did to the ancient Hebrews. Democracy in the USA is for the plutocrat capitalist rich. Everyone knows it. Trump, for example, was rich. He got out of the Vietnam war for bone spurs? Zelenskyy has personally cost us with high inflation and massive crime increases for a little bit of land. Biden failed us. At least Trump promoted domestic tranquility. And he had good relations with Russia, China, and North Korea.

You post this on every single thread.

You know why the USA is better than russia? Because your military is so pathetic that you have to hire an army of online trolls to try and bring down your enemies with propaganda.

Because when our country goes to war our government doesn't have to shut down the internet or take over all the tv stations.

And because we are allowed to disagree with our country's wars without being thrown out of a hotel window like you do.

"Zelenskyy has personally cost us with high inflation and massive crime increases for a little bit of land."

Well, that's all on Putin. If he hadn't invaded, you wouldn't have high inflation and massive crime increases at home in Russia.

As it is, the worst is yet to come, comrade: you and the others with blood on your hands will quickly fall into second-world status. Better stock up on vodka.

The inflation angle lol. So far on Ukraine we have spent 1.16% of what we spent on occupying Afghanistan, are clearing old stocks of obsolescent hardware we continue to pay depreciation on through maintenance and storage, and have demilitarized the Russian Expeditionary Force and set Russian defense production back 40 years.

That's some of the most cost effective military spending in US history. I'm hard pressed to think of more effective funding uses. The nuclear bomb development maybe?
