Pompeo believes Khashoggi's brutal horrific systematic murder by his buddy MBS was justified because Khashoggi was an activist.

Khashoggi was an "activist" for daring to speak out for a more open, tolerant society.

Pompeo is a perfect Republican, isn't he? A bigoted, soulless sociopath.

He's just saying the real US stance on this out loud, Khash was a Muslim Brotherhood propagandist and it doesn't really matter that he was killed. Remember the US response to the Egyptian coup in 2013? 1150+ dead, 4000 injured. We "strongly condemned it", then sent the perpetrators US weapon systems including jets we won't given Ukraine.
