We will all have to face the possibility that George Santos is an intrusion into our world from a parallel, if more hellish, reality.

I'm starting to think that santos is still seated not because McCarthy is a spineless amoeba who simply wants power.

But because McCarthy likely had a visit or a message from Satos' handlers who made it clear they had enough on McCarthy that he couldn't refuse.

The FEC is as strong as spaghetti cooked for a week. Left up to them, Santos will skate. Talk of the DOJ stepping in should worry Anthony D., and if indicted he will find no defenders in the House GOP, but I will wager he will not resign until convicted, and the GOP will vote to expel him only with great reluctance ...

Certainly McCarthy can't afford to lose a single seat. But his immediate problem may not be Santos. Right now it's the GOP moderates in Democrat districts that Bidin won in the General that's giving McCarthy one of his many, many headaches ~~ which is why the Republicans have stooped to lying now about not planning to cut Social Security and Medicare.

Of course, they're going to go after Social Security and Medicare. Balancing the budget was THE signature legislation of their whole midterm campaign. An 8-horse hitch of Budweiser horses wouldn't be able to stop them.

"Balancing the budget was THE signature legislation of their whole midterm campaign."

So, repealing the billionaire tax-cuts is job one?

LEGALLY

They wouldn't dare.

Their campaign piggy banks would starve to death.

The first step in balancing the budget should be eliminating the 2 Bush tax cuts and Trump's multi-trillion dollar tax cut, all of which have immensely contributed to deficits and debt. You can almost time the massive rise in national debt to those tax cuts.

When Clinton left office we had $5 trillion in debt (thanks to Reagan's tax cuts), and left W a plan to have it paid off by 2006. When Bush left, the budget and national debt were more than twice as high. Trump's tax cut, another what wasn't needed, meant a 25% increase in national debt.

Why Republicans think you can slash revenue when you have debt to pay off is like someone with credit card debt cutting their working hours at the same time. You'd call anyone who did that a fool.

Have they asked Putin how much he gave?

I always wondered what it would look like if someone engaged in money laundering while struggling with dementia.

It looks like that's where Santos' money came from.
