...Agents did take some handwritten notes and other materials relating to Biden's time as vice president for review. The search, disclosed by Biden's personal lawyer, was the latest discomfiting moment for a president who has sought to contrast his sensitivity to rule-following with that of his predecessor Donald Trump, who faces a criminal investigation into his handling of classified documents. Wednesday's search, the third for a Biden home or office, was an extraordinary development for a sitting president, and made clear that an investigation that had simmered quietly for weeks was continuing rather than fading away as Biden, who has said he was surprised by an earlier records discovery, presumably hoped. The attorney, Bob Bauer, said FBI agents spent three and a half hours searching the home and that, "No documents with classified markings were found."...

Just a shame how much money is being spent on all these investigations for a situation in which nothing will ever be done except maybe some minor legislation that changes how documents are handled, which could easily have been done in a few hours.

If you have to project your own dishonesty onto others, you've already lost.

Yeah, feel the same way. Could it be that the government has a problem with over-classification of documents?

Part of it stems from the fact that many people can just pick up pad of paper and a crayon and create a classified document out of thin air. There it is, out there, and no one knows about it.

There is a universe of difference between the misplacing of certain classified documents by Pence and Biden, and the secretive, knowing theft of thousands of such documents by Trump. The former is innocent, and can be remedied with legislation. The latter is criminal, and would have occurred no matter what regulations were in place.

Fat Donnie Fail had a heads up from April 11th until August 8th.
So Donnie Fail had four months heads up and still couldn't get it right. What a --- loser.

And yet after several months of the Archives and DOJ playing nice with your cult leader, his dumb ass still managed to have boxes full of classified docs sitting around at his golf club.

You're right. But then again, this was never an issue until last year, right? Hmmmm....I wonder why.
My theory: this has always been an issue. And whenever it happened, the DOJ was alerted and documents were returned/evaluated. It's called cooperation.
But along the way came a guy named Trump. Who does things his way. And ---- it up for everyone. So now when classified documents come to be missing an entire investigation has to be opened up and done to "appear" everyone is getting treated fairly. Because of Trump's ignorance, here we are. Sound familiar?
All Trump had to do was cooperate - and all this wouldn't even be in the news.

And lest we get caught falling into the rabbit hole of right wing lies and disinformation, the searches of Biden's properties are all voluntary and scheduled. For some reason, the DOJ did not need subpoenas or search warrants. It's almost like only certain people have something to hide...
