"Apparently I've been triggering some of my Democrat colleagues ..."
That's what this Reality TV House of "Representatives" is all about; stirring up the Base by razzing the other Party.
Both Parties ought to look around and see that the Plutocrats are intentionally polarizing the People in the only two camps, which is easy money... and cheap considering what little it costs to have laws written to their advantage.
Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, even Ike... and JFK and LBJ were adamant about this built-in inequality, as much as rwingers have been taught to deny it even exists as a built-in advantage for moneyed interests.
"President Dwight Eisenhower, Republican, uttered these words on November 8, 1954:
"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history.
There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes that you can do these things. Among them are a few Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or businessman from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid."
In addition to being a war hero, a decent fellow, a moderate Republican before they began to go extinct, President Eisenhower apparently was also quite the prophet. Little George W. Bush was about 9 years old at the time ..." more

The Roosevelts took action to at least somewhat level the Playing Field by breaking up monopolies and giving Americans a New Deal.
LBJ championed the Great Society.
ALL those efforts have now been reversed, as secret bribes of politicians have been made legal.
So those with big money win, no matter how much the time and money the Parties spend on putting a gun in every pot, or whatever other made-up "Issue" they've paid to have promoted in order to polarize the People into inaction on the only issues that really matter, like making voting American again and taking big money out of social and economic political policy decisions benefiting all the People, not just the special few.
