As of the writing of this story, we can report it was true that author Juno Dawson's book, "This Book Is Gay," was available on the shelves of the Pierce Middle School library in Tampa. The school is part of Hillsborough County Public Schools, which is described as "the 7th largest district in the United States." It was also true that the book includes a chapter with information and instructions that teaches kids about ---- sex, oral sex, and hookup apps.

This is enough. People are getting tired of the gay agenda being pushed on kids.

Pushed? It was a book on the shelves of the library along with 10,000 others.

We've got classrooms now without books thanks to Republicans pushing their whitewashing of history. We have school employees pushing their religion by leading prayer circles at school events.

What it's done is allowed marginalized groups that normally wouldn't operate openly in the public sphere to operate openly on the Internet to find each other and build their online communities.

It gives people a way to achieve group inclusion that was not heretofore available to them.

I will say I am fine with kids having access to content that they are interested in.

Kids will be interested in hook up apps. Perhaps we should educate them on how to navigate them safely (ie avoid them until 18).

The alternative is that kids encounter hook up apps without the information to protect themselves.

I have no idea what this non-sequitur is supposed to mean.

I do believe public libraries should have books (and other media) that are of interest to the public. I believe kids are curious about sex. I believe kids should be educated about sex as they enter puberty. I believe there are LGBTQ kids. i believe those kids will have special interests and needs when it comes to sex education. I believe school libraries should provide them the resources they need to learn about their lives, bodies, sexuality.

But, hey, what do I know, I am not a scared religionista.

So the questiom really should be: if a Middle Scool student feels a need to know about such thingsm, would you rather he/she or trans be able to access information in a book or just learn about it through experimentatation? Because that child is very probably afraid to ask parents or an"This Book Is Gay," a book with sections that teach and advise kids about ---- sex, oral sex, and hookup apps, is available to be checked out by students at Pierce Middle School in Tampa, Florida.ne else.
