Paris Marx: Consider this: since the Soviet Union sent up its first Sputnik satellite in 1957, about 13,600 satellites have been launched into orbit by state and private entities, of which about 6,700 are still active. SpaceX already controls nearly half of them and is pushing for many more.

Like everything else Musk - starts as a good idea but poor execution. I don't know why other countries are standing by while it happens. Don't get me wrong - the service is valuable but there has to be a better way.

Haven't you heard the news comrades? Get up to date. Satellites aren't the in thing anymore. We've entered the balloon age.
