Republicans live on donations from wealthy people wanting to keep their taxes low and the working class lower.
They don't live on small donations.

"They don't live on small donations."
Good luck getting the millions of Republicans who paid $20 for a Trump yard sign and a MAGA hat to believe that! They truly think Trump cares about them.

Small donations also make those doners feel like they've got some skin in the game. It keeps them loyal to the candidate, which is the purpose.

I presume they are making a big deal of this because Republican candidates supported by Trump lost big time. Remember Dr. OZ? I don't see Trump getting the Republican nomination for President. Neither do I see Biden getting it. Both of them are too old and out of touch with the suffering younger USA generation.

The charity was probably a scam same with everything else connected to the Republican Party in the Trump era.

Wait. An enterprise where rubes were convinced to part ways with small amounts of cash, so as to feel good about supporting a gaggle of far-right kooks 'lost' money?!? Nopenopenope. There were plenty of grifters and leaches who got paid, and if nothing was left over for individual candidates, well then, TFB. Someone made money off this carefully-disguised scam, and I'll wager it will be run again in 2024. Don't believe me? Just look at what Der Dotard is doing in his fundraising...
