"11 guns, a silencer, more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition"
That's not much, right gun people? Maybe having a silencer is kind of weird though.
Anyway, illegally possesing a firearm has a modern ring to it, so hopefully he's free and reunited with his guns forthwith, as the Founding Fathers intended.

Individuals affiliated with the boogaloo movement have been charged with crimes, including the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol; the murders of a security contractor and a police officer; a plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer;

There's no such thing as a "silencer", bawbag
At some point you need to come to terms with the fact that your irrational fear of firearms in the hands of a free citizenry is based entirely on your ignorance.
I feel sorry for "men" who were brought up as poorly as you were. In fact, I pity you.

Suppressors stopped being unique awhile ago. They proliferated heavily through NFA Trusts.
1000 rounds isn't much. A single .223 can holds 400. A case of shotgun shells is 250. It adds up quickly.

It's only silent if you have no bullets in your clip.

First of all, most "regular people who hunt" are "gun nuts" to a guy like you.
Secondly, suppressors are incredibly handy at keeping a sounder from scattering too badly when you're doing some ecological housekeeping.

Maybe you think do, but...

...Silencer Shop makes registering a new suppressor through a trust an incredibly easy process. We highly recommend registering through a trust (as opposed to registering as an individual) because trusts make your suppressor easier to share, sell, bequeath, and more. More fun, less headache! But which NFA gun trust should you choose? Let's compare the advantages of the Silencer Shop Single Shot vs. a traditional NFA trust. ...

#9 a silencer/suppressor, as you prefer, is ideal for close range hunting using subsonic ammo. The most common setup for this a "honey badger", an ar15 in .300 blackout shooting heavy grain bullets. This is also known as a death stapler since its about as loud as a construction staple gun. You can hunt without ear protection which is nice for those of us that don't enjoy long term tinnitus.

Nope.
Are you an adult that owns any Punisher or Thin Blue Line apparel? Gun nut. Do you take your guns with you even when you're not hunting? Gun nut. Do you spill your soup in your lap when you hear clip, bullet, and silencer? Gun nut.
Are you a gun owner with a Napoleon Complex? Yes you are little guy! Gun nut.

I am kind of with #6 | Posted by sitzkrieg (shiver)
While it isn't a "little" ammo it isn't a lot for someone that shoots either.
11 guns... really depends. I have 12. Mine have varying purposes related to... Hunting. I have multiple shotguns (12 Gauge, 20 Guage and even .410) and rifles (30-06 down to .22) suited to a role. If it was 11 assault rifles - well frankly that is just scary.
We definitely differ on the "Silencer". I think those are still only in the hands of preppers and other nut jobs for the most part. Kind of cool to shoot with one though.

#19 Thanks for that info. My experience is that if you only have one gun, either you're afraid/suicidal -- or you inherited it and you don't even own any ammo.

One of my friends is is one of the most successful elk hunters in the valley and he only owns one gun... the one he hunts elk with.
I on the other hand have a couple of dozen guns and a fairly random collection of ammo, but I doubt I have 1000 rounds. Possibly, but I doubt it.

19 and 21... so much for that thar meme about how rwingers are the only experts and practitioners when it come to guns.
Last time I drew and fired a 6 shooter from a hip holster was with my brother who was showing me western shooting.
He was deadly, but the turtles in the pond out on that west TX prairie were fairly safe.
Till I got the hang of it. Was always good with a 30-30.
But back then in the 70's, TX was a blue state and, like almost every place in the west for the past 200 years had no carry laws in towns and cities. No guns in racks in pickup windows, either.

That's a vivid imagination you have. Kinda gay imagery, but hey, it's your head!

It's not a lot. This is America. It's not uncommon to inherit that many over time.
As for suppressors or silencers, people call them what they like, don't care. The boogaloo boys use screw on fuel filters. My exposure is probably biased on the high side not because of them but because of how common they're getting for hog hunting, particularly at night.

Came home from Russia with some incredible wood carvings/paintings... and the purdiest pair of Patton-esque ivory handled revolvers you never seen... like the ones he used hunting down Pancho Villa. Colt Single-Action Army .45 and Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum revolvers.

The ability to dispatch feral pigs en masse is the living metaphor for what happens when the Boogaloo really DOES hit and the Vunnables start wandering out of the City looking for food.
The citizenry's possession of the resources to execute the level of violence described above ensures the Alphabet Bois stay humble and realistic about their capabilities.

- when the Boogaloo really DOES hit and the Vunnables start wandering out of the City looking for food.
Ah, government by threat, might over right by a vast minority of the populace.
Sounds a lot like Fascism from rwing populists that hate democracy.
'Specially as it plays into the hands of, and is promoted and financed by the very corporate elite whom rwingers have apparently been totally duped by.
Plutocrat polarization of the masses includes funding rwing populists today, just like it did in Germany in the early part of the last century.
Rather than supporting a min tax on corps, it appears that rwingers "think" threatening a civil war tantrum if they don't get their vast minority way, much like any small child might do... is the smart thing to do.

Having lived through many disasters, natural and manmade, The People don't boog. Generally we all get along and help each other with only tiny, isolated instances of looting in areas of the most extreme poverty. Prepping doesn't take a bunker, just a generator with a little bit of propane. If preppers and boog bois used all that energy for something positive, we'd be living in a Jetsons utopia by now. What a waste.
