One wonders why both children weren't armed.

Good thing it was an accident or someone could have been charged.

Somehow the 3-year-old got a hold of a loaded semi-automatic pistol and accidentally shot her 4-year-old sister.
"Somehow" huh?

Looks like it would be a Class A Misdemenor there. Class C if not for the dead kid.

"Officials said it is not clear at this point if anyone will face charges."
Enough said about TX gun laws.

Interesting to see the follow-up from where the kid shot his teacher in Newport News. Lots of talk about special needs education and metal detectors and school procedures, but not a peep about how the kid got the suppsedly "secured" handgun from his mother.

"Somehow"? May I suggest the presence of one or more people who are probably just too darn stupid to put the pieces together to solve that one?

This is what Real Freedom looks like to Republicans.
You can tell it's Real Freedom because they don't have this in Socialist Europe.

Times like this I wonder if it was one of the adults that "accidentally" did it and they just blamed the child because no one will punish the child or even ask how a child was able to access the loaded weapon.

That's a fair point.

Accident: an unforeseen and unplanned event or circumstance
While this shooting was unplanned, it was not unforeseen. It is negligence.
Negligence: failure to exercise the care that a reasonably prudent person would exercise in like circumstances.
Gun owner should be charged with manslaughter.

It takes a good toddler with a gun to stop a bad toddler with a gun.

Quick check of reviews indicate: It's a complete ghetto, so no adults will be held responsible.

but people can afford gun safes in River Oaks so it's not quite as expected.

Not far-fetched. We had a similar incident in my area a few years back. The father shot one of the kids - fortunately survived - and tried to get the other kid to say he was playing with the gun. The kids didn't stick to the story, surprise surprise.

We need to protect our kids from transgender studies, books, vaccines, pizza parlors, CRT and socialism...it's never too young to wield firearms, though. That 3 year-old should've practiced better gun safety.

This is why you want to arm 4yr olds: 3yr olds are just soooooo...unsafe with guns.
Too bad there's nothing else; nothing else to do about it.
