Love body and dash cams. Sat on a jury in a federal narcotics case where a couple of state police stopped a car on a highway out in nowhere land. Just as they were approaching the suspect's vehicle to get into the trunk ... the dash cam video suddenly stopped, some sort of malfunction the officers swore. The guy they arrested may have done what they claimed he did (transporting a kilo of coke), but that funny dashcam business helped pave the way to a hung jury. Interesting after effect: although I can't remember the names of any of the other jurors, the judge, attorneys, or defendant, the image of that solid kilo of cocaine sitting on the big table in the jury room (evidence) remains crystal clear.
