Ray Epps Demands FOX Retraction over Jan. 6 Conspiracy Smears

A lawyer for Ray Epps, the man at the center of a prominent conspiracy theory about the Capitol riot, sent a letter on Thursday to the Fox News host Tucker Carlson demanding that he publicly retract his "false and defamatory statements" that Mr. Epps had worked as a government provocateur on Jan. 6, 2021, and helped to instigate the mob attack.

There is no evidence Epps took a leading role in planning violence that day. Epps did not enter the Capitol and he is not among the more than 950 people who have been charged with crimes stemming from the day's events.

This is wonderful news but I suspect this is just meant to get in front of the GOP oversight investigation. Ray Epps is literally on camera on J5 and J6 calling for people to enter the Capitol. He was so outrageous, even the other protesters called him out as a Fed.

So, it is surprising that he has NEVER faced charges despite him being 100% identified and 100% caught on camera.

Maybe there is some explanation why he has not been charged - could be that he is a fed. Also, could be that he is just a Democrat as they are also allowed to break laws and never face charges. But, I lean towards him being a Fed given the FBI refuses to answer how many people they had in the crowd and this is the same group that orchestrated the ridiculous Whitmer kidnapping plot. But, hopefully with this lawsuit we can find out the answer.

Sorry, it's a waste of time talking to you. You're in too deep. The good news is, you're not alone. I've got a lifelong friend in Florida who's lost as well. He's convinced that Jan. 6 was a setup, as was Covid, and so many other events. It's all the woke crowd. Population control. New world order. When he posts another crazy rant on Facebook he always uses a photo of something generic, like old cars, because he knows the authorities are watching him, and he hopes the photos will knock them off his trail. I could have also stated "covid escape from the Wuhan lab" to my list - all 'crazy conspiracy theories' until they are now more or less accepted as fact. So, he is on camera repeatedly inciting people to enter the capitol. On J6 he's on camera whispering in the ear of a guy right before he was the first person to breach a barricade. He was repeatedly inciting people to go into the building, yet he didn't enter himself. He ends up on the FBI most wanted list and then *poof* he's no longer wanted. the J6 committee and outlets like NYT have since erected a protective barrier (of sorts) around him.

Considering how hard prosecutors have come after people who were waved in by capitol police, meandered around for 10 minutes and then left the building only to have the book thrown at them....yet, this guy gets treated with kid gloves. Now he's brazenly demanding retractions over how he was portrayed (I guess we should set aside all of the actual video evidence of his actions). I don't think he takes this step unless he believes that powerful people have his back.

None of this adds up.
