I have always thought that politically Dotard is a windsock. He looked at where the far Reich was in the party, listened to a few podcasts, to Limpbaugh, and Alex Jones, saw the money they were grifting from their soft-headed fans, and realized the massive number of dupes he could separate from their social security checks and convince to vote R if given a radical enough candidate. He also realized the way to woo the Talabaptists was to promise them the courts; it's why they stuck with him despite the Access Hollywood tape. Realizing that the McConnell/Ryan wing of the GQP was spending all their time sucking up to the Kochs and placating the Talabaptists with platitides, he saw a lane. That lane was to go hard Reich of everyone else, scoop up the voiceless trailer trash, the racists, the homophobes, the neo-Nazis, those that would violently defend the removal of statues of traitors, and the Xtian Nationalists, and turn them into the 30% he would need to win a primary. In the primary he engaged the trailer trash and cousin humpers, the Margie Traitor Greens and Booberts of the world that neither party had previously shown an interest in, and turned them and the Talabaptists into a cult. I'm not even sure that, aside from his toxic positivity about himself and his infallibility, he believes anything he ran on. If he thought the same path existed on the left, he probably would have run as a Dem, but Bernie already occupied that space. The left is also far more intelligent, better educated, and not prone being grifted as are the Reich, who, on the regular, sent what little money they had to multimillionaire pastors to buy a new, better jet or a more enormous mansion. I think Bannon recognized that he and Diaper Donnie had a shared admiration for Hitler and authoritarianism and they used Hitler's rise as a blueprint for the rise of the Orange Reich.

And as far as his Waco rally is concerned, it's just one pedophile celebrating a dead pedophile. All the GQP has is projection; the LGBTQ+ crowd aren't the groomers; time after time, the indictments speak volumes about who the groomers are; it's members of the GQP Reich.
