CNN headline: Israel Passes Law Shielding Netanyahu from Being Removed
"Fascism!"
"Israel is a fascist country!"
"Israel is not a democracy!"
etc., etc.
Maybe we should go beyond misleading headline and read further about what actually happened :
___
Israeli opposition politicians earlier condemned the new law, which would limit the ways a sitting prime minister can be declared unfit for office, describing it as a way to protect Netanyahu, who is facing an ongoing corruption trial.
By a 61-to-47 final vote, the Knesset approved the bill that states that only the prime minister himself or the cabinet, with a two-thirds majority, can declare the leader unfit. The cabinet vote would then need to be ratified by a super majority in the parliament.
... The law passed on Thursday states that "the authority to declare the Prime Minister incapacitated will only belong to the government or the Knesset and will only occur due to physical or mental incapacity."
The bill also prevents the Supreme Court from considering "a request to declare the incapacity of the Prime Minister."

How much is this really different from the U.S. 25th Amendment? How about constant power grabs by either state / federal courts and/or the state legislatures / Congress and/or Presidents of the United States?
Consider that Israel doesn't have a Constitution, with almost 75 years of existence! 25th Amendment was ratified and adopted in 1967, more than 190 years after the United States of America came into being, to clarify chain of command and prevent the possibility of chaos if President is incapacitated or needs to be removed in way other than election. Took us that long to figure this out; they want to follow suit and "loyal opposition" and the "usual suspects" raise hell, of course.
Did 25th Amendment make us fascist?
