There are varying degrees of trans thus a spectrum. Some believe they are actually the opposite gender then what they were assigned at birth others only identify with some aspects ie tomboy or "girlie men "

Trans people exist whether you believe in them or not. They are not going anywhere all they want is to live in peace and acceptance ie respect

A person suffering from anorexia is reacting to a trauma or traumas in their lives generally by tryin to gain control over an aspect of their lives eating. It is often a reaction to body shaming or body dysphoria ( which is often a result of trauma). The trauma can be sexual abuse physical abuse or bullying

Trans people are born with an inclination to the opposite gender. Gender being a social construct that is based on genes and conditioning. Women have certain characteristics as do men Those characteristics are based on genes ie women being more nurturing because they bear children men being protective because they need to secure a mate. However not all women are born with those inherent traits or more accurately experience them stronger or weaker than typical. Trans people simply have an inclination to varying degrees towards the opposite gender than what they were born with. That is not a disorder that is the normal human condition.

Think of it this way men can have a feminine side ie be nurturing or nesters so they have done female traits trans people just have far stronger feelings along those lines. And again trans is a spectrum some trans people feel very strongly to the point they physically transition other trans people have less strong feelings and may only socially identify

This is clearly confirmed by the incredible effectiveness of gender affirming care. Self esteem rises depression melts away there is just more happiness because the person is living as they feel
