Stupid crap like this and banning drag shows and stopping college kids from voting and killing pregnant women is the Republicant platform. Lovely.

This was done purposefully so Republicans wouldn't have to vote for or against it.

Why 'mess with Texas', when Texans are already so messed up, and skilled at messing things up even further? Just let 'em keep on keeping on.

The GQP only follow the parts of the bible that we agree with and follow NONE of the teachings of Jesus.... same as the Constitution.

That's a fair point. Republican hypocrites would not want on display to their children, many of the very sins they regularly commit.
They don't want little Johnny to come home and ask: "Daddy, why is mommy committing adultery?" or "Mommy, why is daddy stealing the neighbors Wi-Fi?"

"The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse: You cannot post "Thou shalt not steal," "Thou shalt not commit adultery," and "Thou shalt not lie" in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment."

Flori-duh and Tex-ass - outdoing one another in a race to the bottom. I have no use for either extreme but the Far Right is definitely the LCD.

In America, the 'My God is better than your God' game seems to never get old. Kudos to Texas for not passing this legislation.

" Kudos to Texas for not passing this legislation."
You give them too much credit: most who voted against were just afraid "Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery" would become law.

Danforth, I do agree that it was probably not tolerance and open mindedness that lead to the majority of the Texas legislature opposing that bill. I believe a big tangle of petty political calculations went into it's rejection by Republican legislators.

The Ten Commandments are unAmerican and unconstitutional starting with #1 "thou shalt have no gods before me".
