Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, May 25, 2023

A whistleblower from inside the Internal Revenue Service has spoken publicly for the first time about a highly sensitive political probe he has supervised, which CBS News has determined is the ongoing probe into the finances of President Biden's son Hunter Biden. He said he became so concerned about prosecutors' handling of "a high profile, controversial" investigation that he felt duty-bound to sound alarms.

Slow walking?

Did the IRS finish auditing Trump's taxes for each year he was president yet?

Based on the other "whistleblowers" Republicans have brought forward, you can assume this guy has Trump sign still on his lawn, a few swastika tats, and is getting paid by Kash Patel.

Take him seriously? You mean take the ratings they get from this seriously.

You really will believe anything, won't you?

#7. I don't know if he's to be taken seriously or not.

I find it revealing that you immediately write him off - that everything he's testifying must be an absolute lie.

" I find it revealing that you immediately write him off"

What a coincidence.

I find it revealing you need less proof from him than you usually require when someone's bashing a Dem.

Oh no what will become of president Hunter Biden?

Why if he gets removed from office Trump will be made president and we'll all have to kill ourselves.

How could those clueless Founders have overlooked having a backup person ready to assume the office of president?

This whistleblower took over the Hunter Biden case in January 2020 and by June 2020 felt the investigation was being slow walked:

"He was assigned to a "sensitive" investigation in January 2020, and within months, he said he grew concerned about how the Justice Department was handling the investigation. CBS News has learned that was the Hunter Biden probe. Shapley says he began documenting his concerns around June 2020."

What's weird about this to me is that Biden didn't become president until January 20, 2021, so this IRS investigator is claiming that the Trump/ Barr DOJ was slow walking the Hunter Biden case from the get-to, which seems highly unlikely to me.

The only reason I created this thread is because I was absolutely floored that one of our Pravda media outlets reported on it and it wasn't just some blurb on 20A.

My favorite thing is that the OP is the same dick smack who won't believe that a guy with multiple swastika tattoos, a Nazi flag, a functional gas chamber in the basement, and a detailed manifesto is a Nazi and not an FBI agent who is trying to make him, personally, look bad, but he believes this --------.

I don't think you could get a normal person to believe any of this.

25 or 30% of the republican party?

Sure.

Not a single normal person though.

Thats not what this says ...

Rewrite it and try again.

I don't think you could get a normal person to believe any of this.

Normal people believed a Trump pee tape existed, this is less far fetched than that.

" within months, he said he grew concerned about how the Justice Department was handling the investigation"

If he means "the IRS was more careful than usual, due to possible oversized political reactions to ANY mistakes", I'm all for it.

And if you compare audit time to Trump's first tax return he promised to release, expect another 6 years.

You know, to be fair.

IRS 'whistleblower' who claimed Hunter Biden case was mishandled won't cooperate with Senate probe

EXCLUSIVE: Whistleblower has cut off communication with the Senate Finance Committee even as he prepares to testify before a GOP-led House panel.

Obviously as the Founders intended.

Sounds like he may not want to testify under oath before a bipartisan committee:

"Democratic and Republican Finance Committee staff previously met for several hours with counsel representing an IRS whistleblower, and counsel were made aware of the committee's investigative procedures. Committee staff on both sides agreed with counsel to meet directly with the whistleblower next week, however the whistleblower has since backed out of that agreement and declined an attempt to reschedule," they said.

No, but it is what the WB himself has said, so really there was no need for me to rewrite anything:

"When I took control of this particular investigation, I immediately saw deviations from the normal process. It was way outside the norm of what I've experienced in the past," he said.

So is this:

The sources say Mr Shapley's use of Mr Leavitt as an attorney and the nature of the allegations " which they described as appearing to be a run-of-the-mill dispute between criminal investigators and prosecutors over whether the former has collected enough evidence for the latter to justify bringing charges against a target " give them reason to believe the IRS special agent is part of a coordinated effort to browbeat prosecutors into charging Hunter Biden and weaponise dispute between investigators and prosecutors against both the Biden administration and President Biden's family.

One person with knowledge of Mr Shapley's efforts told The Independent that members of Congress and staff have also been troubled by the way legally protected taxpayer information " information which House and Senate committees take great pains to keep secret " has made it into the right-wing press at the same time it has been provided to the House and Senate panels with jurisdiction over the IRS.

They noted that he was previously represented by a prominent Washington, DC attorney with extensive experience in representing law enforcement and intelligence whistleblowers and said Mr Shapley appeared to change attorneys because his first attorney appeared more concerned with following the law than getting his allegations into the press.

The lead into this article should have been "In a surprise to no one, DOJ "slow-walked" tax probe said to involve Hunter Biden"

The only people that give the DOJ ANY legitimacy at this point are the 20% of Biden voters that are so partisan that they will have to actively participate with Joe Biden in molesting his own daughter to believe it happened rather than just believing her own words.

We have a two-tiered justice system in the US beyond reform. Trump promises to disband it - I 100% support this platform.

You probably broke 18 or 20 laws on your way to and from work in the last 3 days.

You should go to the police station immediately and confess all of it.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

He travels for some reason.

Maybe it's to cruise for 8th graders.

Whatever it's for, he breaks the law when he does it.

Guaranteed.

Often.

He's very concerned about people getting away with that sort of thing, and I think this is a good opportunity for him to set things right.
