To speak for Redial, no - but certain other posters of the rightwing persuasion have stated those exact words on this site.

Imagine being Rhodes right now - you spend your whole life and set up your whole identity preparing to "defend America", only to realize that YOU are the threat that you've prepared against. I imagine Rhodes will spend his 18 years thinking about what he did and how to support America in the future from his jail cell.

Just kidding, I bet this fool and his followers don't have an ounce of self-reflection and will never realize what treasonous pigs they've become; they and their Congressional enablers will just play the victims as "political prisoners" and wait until someone just like them gets elected to issue a pardon.

only to realize that YOU are the threat that you've prepared against.

I guarantee you that he is not realizing that.

He is full of hate and rage that he is being targeted by the deep state and all he was doing is defending this nation and trump from having the election that trump won from being stolen.

Yes he is really that stupid.

" certain other posters of the rightwing persuasion have stated those exact words on this site."

Really? Are you sure they were referring to people like Rhodes?

Seems like Redial is doing the same type of snark that some right wingers did about the BLM demonstrations, e.g. sarcastically calling them peaceful protesters even when there were obviously violent rioters involved.

"A seditious conspiracy... is among the most serious crimes an individual American can commit," he said. "It's an offense against the government, to use force. It's an offense against the people of the country."

And yet, Democrats, Biden, and the DOJ have taken zero steps to hold the politicians who incited the insurrection responsible for their actions.

Arresting these morons for being gullible is pointless when we don't hold their leaders accountable.

147 members of the HoR signed a document of treason.

Senators are documented lying to Americans and demanding their action.

Trump lied for months on end. Screaming to his supporters to take action.

But sure, Bob from Missouri who lives in a trailer getting arrested will fix everything.

If you were in the Capitol on January 6th and were not affiliated with the police or Congress, then YES, 100% sure that those people were insurrectionists. Per the concept of "felony murder", every single one of those traitors should have gotten charged with murder after people were killed or died due to the insurrection. Ain't none of 'em were tourists.

Why are you defending these criminals? Were you there?

#16 | Posted by bartimus at 2023-05-25 04:33 PM | Reply

Seriously, you don't believe there were ANY people who got caught up in the events of Jan 6 without any prior planning? And there was not a single non-violent protester there that day, in addition to the violent ones?

#17 | POSTED BY SENTINEL AT 2023-05-25 04:34 PM | FLAG: DEFINITELY AT THE CAPITOL ON JAN 6TH

Sentinel: "If 1 protester was non-violent, we should focus on them and not the literal hundreds that have already been convicted of felonies".

Full stop, if someone was at the Capitol that day and breeched the building, they were there to undermine the Democratic process and should be subject to the FULL extent of the law set aside for insurrection and treason. If you were in the Capitol, you got there by committing or witnessing/condoning violence against the State.

Apparently morons like SS believe amongst the insurrectionists climbing the walls and knocking over police officers.

There were also some folks who picked the wrong day to go visit the capitol building.

They also, apparently, didn't notice the hundreds of irate Trumpers smearing shht on the walls and screaming violence and hate.

"Just a regular day at the Capitol Building." They thought to themselves, as men dressed in all black with zip ties walked around screaming about hanging Mike Pence.

"Who knew there was an insurrection." Thought others, as they stepped over the bodies of unconscious police officers.

"God Bless America." They proclaimed, as men with confederate flags ran down the chamber.

Protesting is fine, but January 6th was not just a protest. If you were at the Capitol, you were there illegally, and ARE considered a criminal. Sorry if that hurts your delicate fee fees chump. Every one of those fools that crossed the line, attacked cops, and tried to overthrow the election should rot in jail. Agreed Sentinel? Or were there good people on both sides?

And yes Mother, if BLM protesters crossed the line to criminal trespass and vandalism, they too deserve jail time.

"Arresting these morons for being gullible is pointless when we don't hold their leaders accountable."

I will take it though. Take the wins when you can get them.

Some things are outside the ability of the law to solve.

But don't give up ... the people still have the ability to punish the elected leaders involved by removing them.

Though it's appears we may be even losing that ability as they undermine the democratic process in some states.

These are also the times that try men's souls.

His sentence should come with the tag, "no shortening of sentence due to 'good behavior'. As I'm sure any friends he makes in prison will be of like mind (i.e. racist bigots out to 'purify' the country).

All the DBag seditionist MAGAts have been held in their own private area at the DC Jail, a little boy's club away from gen pop this entire time, eating, exercising, and "singing" together. That's about to change for these traitors, it's gen pop from now on. I hope for Elmer and his ilk; every day is as painful as was 1/6 was for Mike Fanone and the other hero cops who fought so bravely to defend our democracy. I hope Elmer and the other Meal Team Sixers cry themselves to sleep every night, that they daily soil themselves with fear, and they all die in prison. If this was 100 years ago, they would have all rightfully danced at the end of a rope.

Well, the only way that either Pence or DeSantis get to win the primaries, if Trump withdraws, is to say, clearly and directly, that they would pardon Trump and the seditionists of Jan. 6.
But the American people would not, even with the stupid Electoral College in the way, ever elect someone who is a fan of mobs stealing the ballot boxes.
Painful to admit, that no, we are not superior people in a superior culture here in America. We have the same problems all countries have. But our only salvation is democracy itself, so if I still draw breath I will be voting for President Biden.

#29. Federal time can be reduced by up to a maximum of 20% for good behavior. So 3.6 years. The absolute n he will do is just shy of 14.5 years. That said: look at a guard wrong? Good time gone. Step out of line when not told to? Good time gone. Very easy to lose good behavior status.

"They want the court to believe and they want the public to believe that Rhodes caused this," defense attorney Phillip Linder said Thursday. "Rhodes did not cause this. You want to put a face on Jan. 6, you put it on Trump, right-wing media, politicians."

While not absolving Rhodes of his own crimes, I don't disagree with his attorney's statement. The Oath Keepers, the Proud Boys, Three Percenters, NSC-131, Rise Above Nation, et al. did not just appear out of a vacuum. They were invited, encouraged, and incited by the former President and his associates. The fish are getting bigger as the prosecutors move up the food chain.
