Laura,

"Your so called Christian bigotry towards Trans Women/girls is duly noted."

I've been suspecting the motivation for stirring up all this trouble is just anti-Christian hatred.

Liberals are who started all this trouble with their absurd demands putting boys in girls locker rooms and now attacking women in sports.

They're getting just what they wanted....a culture war so they can play the victim....it's the only game they know.

But why are they doing this? What is driving them?

Their hatred for Christians is so strong and the reason for suing Christian bakers and now Laura is trying to frame the conversation to tie it to Christians.

Laura...you've revealed your true colors.

Maybe if you learned to love yourself, you could move on to actually loving others, rather than wishing them ill.

There is one thing for certain, if the mythological figure known as jesus ------- christ was born in 1993 and was just now making his self known he would not be in America, but if he were somehow to find himself in America he would be at the mexican border or in the homeless shelters in LA or in pediatric oncologist hospitals (i know, the nerve of him to show his face there!), he would be telling the parable of the Good Samaritan, it would involve a beat up and robbed and beaten homeless black woman who is passed by a Baptist Preacher, a police officer and would be saved by a gay trans teen. Instead of throwing moneylenders out of the temple he would be throwing mega church pastors out of their mega churches. jesus would be amoungst the convicts in super max and amoungst the undocumented immigrants in the fields and amoungst the mentally sick in subway tunnels.

He would NOT be in any right wing space.

Because some folks have a physical advantage from what they were that others do not. That's the entire reason females had their own sports leagues. By and large, they cannot physically compete with biological males.

For example, if a male NBA player joined the WNBA, he would not lose the extra foot of height and 50+ pounds of muscle mass he gained by virtue of being a biological male.

Because money, the SIM is doing that which will sell the most tix and get the most endorsements and money plain and simple (within the law).

They tried permitting trans athletes to compete under certain conditions that theoretically leveled the playing field. Ignorant and bigoted people are using trans athletes to divide and promote conservatives.

Let me first state I am no expert, but it seems to me that the issue is fairly complex. The ability for trans athletes to compete on a level playing field, it seems to me, to be dependent on the sport, the age of the athletes, and the level of competition-a high school soccer player will have different issues that an Olympic weight lifter.

Each sport certainly has the right and responsibility to regulate their respective sports and presumably rely on medical science to assure a competitive balance-i.e. hormone treatment, length of treatment, pre or post op. Again, each sport will seemingly have different considerations.

I do think it eminently reasonable to debate this issue, though keep in mind that the number of trans athletes is miniscule. Born males have different muscle structures and mass. Though the mass can be changed with hormone therapies.

I firmly believe that a reasonable solution could be found (if certain groups were honest brokers-which they aren't). The reasonable concerns of born female athletes to be permitted to compete on a level playing ground can be accomplished while recognizing and respecting trans athletes.

How they should be is subjective.

Being a gay Christian is a test of faith.

There are conservative Christians who have not yet come to terms with the idea of being a gay person who is also a Christian. Actually, I don't entirely believe liberals have either.

I think some liberals way of justifying the conflict is by discounting the sinful aspect of homosexuality in the Bible. They have decided homosexual behavior is not a sin and just a misinterpretation in the Bible.

True story.

After getting out of the Navy I had no where to go and was not yet 20. I had been in the Navy from the age of 17 to 19 and discharged for being a practicing homosexual.

Once I was sitting with a friend in a restaurant, who bought me lunch in a big city, and was talking about being unsure what to do with myself. I had no where to go and no parents to fall back on.

A Pastor of a MCC church (Metropolitan Community Church) in the 70's that was newly founded overheard me and walked over to me and started talking to me and offered me a room in his apartment with him and his lover. There never was anything sexual about it and he was genuinely offering to help me....a perfect stranger. He was rarely home and we talked when he was. His lover got me a job where I worked until I started college, thanks to the friend I met at that rally I talked about before who helped me get enrolled in classes after finding out I was a Veteran.

So...my point. The Pastor and I spent time talking. I don't think his views were exactly like what I hear from liberal Christian churches today. MCC was known in the 70's as a church that encourages gay people to continue with their walk of faith. There were few options in those days and the prevailing opinion was being gay and Christian were mutually exclusive. MCC was founded by a man who felt compelled to minister to gay people.

My point is I personally have handled the conflict not by denying homosexuality is a sin.

Instead....I have chosen to believe I am forgiven because I believe in Him and He died for my sins. I accept my sinful nature as just something that's part of me. I am a sinner. We're all sinners and can never stop feeling the way I feel. That's the whole point of Christianity....forgiveness.

I am forgiven and that applies to all people...gay or straight...who are willing to accept the gift of salvation in exchange for repentance. I choose to believe Jesus was God who came to earth and was the final sacrifice for all mankind for anyone who decides to believe it.

I don't agree with what I hear from some liberal churches that deal with the conflict by saying homosexuality isn't a sin. In the Bible it is.

Back to my first sentence....being a gay Christian is a test of faith.

I am pulled in different directions by different viewpoints anywhere from crazy preachers who spread their hatred of gays and liberals who spread their hatred of Christians.

I am a gay man who is also a sinner and a Christian and forgiven.

Even if he gave an apology it wouldn't be genuine. You're not a Christian, without even the good sense to feel guilty about that, so you don't really deserve an apology in the same way someone living in god's grace might. That how he gets to say those things about Laura and act like he was doing something as innocuous as identifying the make of a car that just drove by. An unrepentant sinner isn't someone deserving of much consideration most of the time. When dealing with the damned, casual cruelty is nothing to feel bad about.

Christian doctrine holds that if anyone is not "saved", they won't be in heaven.

Frankly...I'm not 100% sure of anything so it's unlikely I'd make absolute statements.
