Sometimes I wish I could introduce these people to an expert just to watch them try to argue with someone who's going to dunk on them the entire time.

These people are, once again, gaining traction and power by being elected or placed in positions, from GOP Chairs, to election commissioners, to Education boards, to local school boards. The oxymoronic named group "Mom's for Liberty" (clearly a hate group) have been getting their members elected and seated on school boards across America.
Incredibly, Governors such as "D. Santis" (does this guy even know how to say his own name?) are empowering and putting idiots and morons in charge of education from K through university.
I thought the 2005 decision in Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District was a watershed event. Guess not.

It is becoming more and more apparent with each passing week, the reason why Republicans are so against education.

I find it fascinating and horrifying at the same time that there are people who still believe that hogwash about the earth being flat. I have never run into any of these people; and, quite frankly, I wouldn't know what to say to them let alone try to hold an intelligent conversation with them. I tend to be around people who have a scientific bent. I guess it's all in what you put your faith in. I'll stay with science and proven theories.

There was a local flat earther who was so vocal about it he had a bumper sticker telling people he believed this.
The first person I met who knew about this guy was the bishops niece and we were on a date when he came up.
Neither of us had ever met or spoken to him but we had seen him in his car and we both worried he might be a danger.

Mary Cooper was a flat earther. Her son, Sheldon, asked her if she wasn't worried about falling of the edge when Mary told him her religious group was taking their annual retreat aboard a cruise ship.

Space, telescopes.. The moon is clearly round, as it the Sun, and all the planets. Satellites beam back images of the Earth, in all of its, our, round glory.

My ex wife's son, my ex step son who I am still close with, thinks the earth is flat and keeps sending me all this BS about it trying to convince me so. Finally, he came across with this bible said this and that stuff and I figured out what his angle was. Poor kid never completed any school past the age of 14 and spent his Junior and High school years in jail. He is a good guy and has children all over the place most of which he supports and somehow ended up believing in sky fairies and flat earth BS. I've tried to explain the math to him in multiple ways but he keeps sending me hicks from red states perspective and made up math on the topic. What can a guy do to help him out?

Or walk up Mount Whitney. You can see the curvature of the Earth very well from up there.

I'm pretty sure most Navy sailors have observed their ability to see the top of ships on the horizon but not the bottom half.

Wait until she finds out the earth is spinning at 1,670 mph and orbiting the sun at 67,000 mph and that the solar system is traveling at some 450,000 mph around the milky way which is heading towards the andromeda Galaxy at 70 km per sec.

Hit him over the head with a 2 x 4 and get him neutered. You'd be doing him a favor.
