Alabama Gerrymandering Defeated
Federal judges have found that Alabama is entitled to a new Congressional District that will almost have a black majority and in doing so obligate the Republican Party to find the most moderate candidate in the state or face a landslide defeat.

funny how all of the Red States, that used to have that law that oversaw how they ran elections, completely went back to racist rightwing tactics as soon as the law was struck down...

I was told that racism is over in America when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that a key provision of the 1965 Voting Rights Act designed to prevent racial discrimination in certain voting laws was no longer necessary. You mean the Supreme Court lied to us?

Within minutes or Section 5's repeal, racist Republican states turned towards implementation of their already concocted strategies for disenfranchising Black voters.

A crop of moderate republicans and democrats being nominated across the south could do wonders for this country.
