Mr Baluchi has tried three similar voyages before, all of which ended in Coast Guard intervention.
In 2021, he was arrested after being rescued while trying to ride from Florida to New York after drifting 30 miles south of his departure point.

Traveling due north he drifted 30 miles south. Slight design flaw.
Only one way to Carnegie Hall!
He's like those French and Italian Renaissance men who glued on feathers and flung themselves (or sometimes peasants) from the church belfry.
It's a free country, the Coast Guard should just point him east and get out of his way.
Godspeed Capt. Baluchi

I don't think he would have liked winding up in the hurricane Lee. 120 mph sustained winds do a number on the waves in the ocean. There's a saying about the 5 Ps.

"This morning, the highest significant wave height we were analyzing in Lee was between 45 and 50 feet, and the highest waves could even be double that," Brennan said, speaking of swells far out at sea. "So we could be looking at 80, 90-foot waves associated with Lee."

How and where does he go to the bathroom in that thing?
This wasn't a well thought out plan.

A hamster wheel is how RCADE powers the servers that run this website.

His own words.

Reza Baluchi.... ethnic Baloch.

Only a Pakistani or an Iranian can have that name.

Probably Iranian.... "Reza". If Pak, it would be "Raza" but not necessarily.

Baluchis are nutters. Act first think later kinda folk.

Yep he hires children from Afghanistan puts him inside the hamster wheel and then shows them a photo of you at which point they scream not the touchy Monster again! And provide all the electricity he needs for weeks as they desperately try to run from you.

RCADE powers the wheel himself. He does not believe in exploiting children even when they are afghans.
