Much, much too late. They've been bragging about "pro-life" for too many decades for any fresh coat of paint to hide the ugliness. These people have taught the rest of us who they are. Superficial efforts at manipulation won't move the needle.

They are pro-control of women and minorities. Pro-warmongering. Pro-death. Pro-tax breaks for the rich and large companies. They are against unity and equality. They are on whatever side makes some people angry enough to feed a minds a reward of hate to motivate them to vote. They are the anger drug dealers with no ideas to solve real problems.

Forced birth, anti-choice, mandatory religious compliance?

They should use the one they came up with for social security. You know, entitlement. /s

I know their motto: "A pregnant woman or child has no rights that the white man is bound to respect"

Pro-life was good branding.

Thing is there's no running from it now.

"Anti-Ho" seems catchy.

Although I suspect many of their constituents are "pro-ho," so that might present a problem.

@#3 ... Forced birth, anti-choice, mandatory religious compliance? ...

Abortion South Carolina
www.wfmz.com

... South Carolina's newly all-male Supreme Court has reversed course on abortion, upholding a ban on most such procedures after just weeks of pregnancy. The 4-1 ruling Wednesday departs from the court's own decision earlier this year to strike down a similar law from 2021. ...

Writing for the new majority, Justice John Kittredge acknowledged that the ban infringes on "a woman's right of privacy and bodily autonomy." ...

[emphasis mine]

But, what does the all-male Court care about women's rights?

How about Oblivious Cultists Who Don't Know That Women Already Have 93 Percent of Abortions in 13 Weeks or Less?

Too long a name?

"Writing for the new majority, Justice John Kittredge acknowledged that the ban infringes on "a woman's right of privacy and bodily autonomy." ... but if some women must die to appease "pro-life" theocrats...so be it! It is what Jesus wants (according to some fundamentalist dogma)...so it must be right. Except for the 70% of the American people who want safe, clinical abortions available for women who have a variety of reasons for seeking them. So, let's close our eyes and just let the fundamentalist Christian right trample all over the rights of everyone else,

Whose morals?

My morals say not to force people into parenthood.

My morals say it is pure evil to force an 11 year old child to carry a rape fetus to term. I see how religious people feel on the subject.

I'm curious Bill do you think that is moral?

Truth,

I believe abortion is morally wrong but I believe it should be legal up to a certain time limit.

I did not agree with the Supreme Court decision.

I'm sure there will be things I agree with from the court and things I won't.

That's life.

Truth,

I believe in supporting women's right.

The right to an abortion and the right to privacy in restrooms and the right to not compete against former men in areas where strength and endurance make a difference.

#32 | Posted by BillJohnson at 2023-09-11 06:29 PM | Reply

That is not what I asked bill, I asked if you believed it morally wrong to force an 11-year-old child to carry a rape fetus to term.

Since the only alternative is abortion and you believe abortion is morally wrong, we have your answer.

I find that position repugnant in every fiber of my existence.

In fact, I find the state's involvement with the decisions a woman makes about her body to be repugnant.

But, hey, I love women, trust women and respect women, so there is that.

It doesn't have to be. You COULD vote against the party that nominated the judges you disagree with.

Which one of those do you think has the largest effect on the largest number of women?

And when did women lose privacy in their restrooms?

Republicans should do their best to distract for the fact they killed abortion and women's right to control their own bodies and lives.
