Black Poverty Rate Just Hit a Record Low

The official poverty rate for Black Americans declined to 17.1% in 2022, the lowest on record dating back to 1959, according to Census data released Tuesday.

1960-19.9% of Black children lived in a Single mother home.

1964-LBJ Encouraged women to swap out a man in the home for benefits, checks and what is known today as resources. He told these women that a one income home supported by her white daddy(Uncle Sam) was better than two parents working towards building something. Sis believed it.

1970-29.5% of Black children lived in a Single mother home.

2022-43% of Black children lived in a Single mother home.

Systemic irresponsible reproduction that fill these single mommie homes is one of the leading causes of "poverty."

So, when one of these , irresponsible, women decide against having another baby why do the Republicans demonize her? Really, the eight wing argument could seriously benefit from some consistency amd a little less moral condemnation that benefits no one; not the mothers, not the babies, no society as a whole. The only benefactors are white folks getting to feel superior, which is rgeir primary motivating factor. When those white girls get pregnant Daddy ships them off to a state where abortion is legal. We all know iy is true so why do we let these same "Daddies" make abotyion illegal for everyone else?

Not worth drawing a conclusion based on the OPR, it was supplemented for a reason. Article forgot to mention the SPM isn't about benefits, it's really about housing costs.

If black society could just end the culture of overepresented violence and criminality in USA and other countries it would go a long way to end other issues that affects opportunity and poverty.

Videoed examples of thug mobs, violence and theft in this country abound. Much of this is brought on by drugs, elites, hoodism and failure to demand individual accountability and civility by parents and others. Democrats led by the most racist DEM President in history LBJ created a Great Society that made life worse for blacks and all of society.
