Singer Maren Morris announced she is leaving country music due to the effects the "Trump years" have had on the music genre.

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down'.

So-called country music these days is a far cry from the glory years of Merle Haggard and the Highwaymen (Cash, Kristofferson, Jennings, and Nelson)

I still like classic country as genre of choice (among many others) that told a story about women, booze, and American living etc. George Strait etc. and before. Don't particularly like the repetitious incomprehensible stuff that unfolded 10-20 years ago. Sirius XM classic country is OK with me. Never heard of this Maren Morris.
