I feel like something not good is coming, particularly in regard to aviation.

Yay capitalism!

This is the type of thing righties want to become more prevalent whenever they talk about regulation reduction.

Knowing how it is to supply the makers and the hoops one must jump through... How does this happen? I really don't understand. I guess forged paper work was accepted? Someone's head needs to roll on this one.

Like I've said taking your child aboard an airplane is abused.

Who needs regulations?

We should just let the industries self-regulate.

I mean those industries won't kill off their customers, right?

All United has to do is crash 2 or 3 planes killing hundreds. Then folks will know not to fly with them. The invisible hand of the free market at work!

This is a major problem for GE Aerospace, which is the world-side leader in jet engines for military and commercial use. This portion of GE has been deemed the most viable and profitable as part of the GE breakup, and to have their parts questioned is big, big, big. All of these parts are easily traceable, and someone is going to be lined up against a wall and shot...

Who owns AOG Technics? A Google search says they're closed permanently and were based in London.

Seems this is getting...interesting. I can't read this because it's pay walled, but...

www.bloomberg.com

I wonder if this is an intentional attempt at sabotage. Russia? China?

No fake Kryptonite in this thread. Only the real McCoy, keeping the anti-regulation Capitalists at bay.

Like I've been saying those who have blind faith in airplanes are child abusers.

Another reason to add to my list why I hate to fly. My event horizon is fast approaching when I no longer have to fly for work. Can't wait for September 2024.

I love flying, my own plane.

Got nothing to do with capitalism, even in a government controlled industry even people will commit fraud.

I might add, just because they are "fake" doesn't mean they won't work, just not certified. In GA there is Experimental, and Certified, same part extremely different costs, just because its not "certified" by the FAA. Doesn't mean the part doesn't work or is unsafe. Just means it went through "testing".

The Ford Pinto proved that assertion wrong.

When Ford engineers exposed the design flaw to management and had the proposed fix, management chose to not recall and fix the cars because the estimate of the cost to Ford of paying off people whose loved ones BURNED TO DEATH was cheaper than recalling and fixing the cars.

That right there is the single biggest failure of capitalism.

"That right there is the single biggest failure of capitalism."

That's the essence of Capitalism. Profits over people.

See: United States was built on slave labor.
